​​​​​​​Occupational attacks on NE Syria in 2022

During the year 2022, the Turkish occupation state launched thousands of attacks on the regions of north and east Syria, which resulted in the martyrdom of dozens of citizens, children, and fighters, and the loss of number of members of Damascus forces, in addition to the injury of hundreds of citizens, including children, and dozens of members of the Damascus government forces. These attacks also resulted in the destruction of dozens of service and religious facilities.

These are the details of the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on the region during this year:

Qamishlo, Tirbespiyê, Al-Darbasiya, Amuda, Dêrik, Girkê Legê, Çil Agha, Rimelan, Hasaka, Tal Tamr, Zarghan, Tal Koçer, Deir al-Zor, al-Hol, Ain Issa, Kobani, Manbij, Shahba, Tal Rifaat, in addition to 300 of the villages belonging to these areas have been bombed by the Turkish ground and air bombardment, thousands of times.

January

The ground bombardment of the Euphrates region resulted in the martyrdom of 5 civilians and the wounding of 39 citizens, including 3 children, in addition to the death of a member of the Damascus government forces and the wounding of another.

February

The aerial bombardment, which was launched on Afrin region by warplanes, resulted in the martyrdom of 5 fighters of Afrin Liberation Forces, the loss of 25 members of Damascus forces, and the injury of 31 members.

These attacks resulted in the destruction of 16 schools in Kobani and 9 schools in Tal Tamr and Zarghan. In Shahba district and Sherawa district, the schools of the villages of Um al-Hush, al-Nairabiya, al-Radiya and Qarmel were subjected to ground shelling, which led to the cessation of education in these schools .

A suicide drone targeted a medical clinic in Tal Rifaat. The Turkish bombing led to the collapse of Corona Hospital and the destruction of Qramogh clinic in Kobani, in addition to the destruction of the health center in Zarghan.

Bombing power stations, oil, gas and grain silos in each of Tirbespiyê, Dêrik, Qamishlo and Çil Agha and putting them out of service. And targeting wheat silos in Zarghan.

The Turkish occupation state destroyed the mosques of the villages of Al-Tawila and Al-Dardara, the Church of Marsawa in the Assyrian village of Tal Tawel, and the cemeteries of the Assyrian villages of Tal Shnan and Tal Juma'a. And the mosque in the village of Asadiya and the Great Mosque in Zarghan. In addition to destroying a mosque in Ain Issa and a mosque in the village of Al-Jat in Manbij. The Turkish occupation mercenaries also destroyed the Yazidi cemetery in the village of Basofan in Sherawa district of Afrin.

The Turkish ground and air bombardment also targeted the People Assembly building, the municipality, power lines, and the power transmission station in Tal Tamr. The electricity networks in Ain Issa, the People's House in Zarghan district and their communication networks were also targeted.
