​​​​​​​Protests continue in Rojhelat, Iran, amid a massive campaign of arrests

 In Starkhan, Al-Naft district, Shahin Janoubi, Shahran, Salsabil, Saadat Abad, and Darband, protesters chanted slogans against the Iranian state, according to Roj News Agency.

 In the same context, some areas of Mashhad witnessed sporadic protests, and sporadic gatherings were held in Kermanshah.

 On Sunday (December 18), a group chanted slogans against the Iranian state and the "BASIJ" forces from inside homes and residential complexes, including "Death to the dictator" and "Death to Khamenei," according to the agency.

 In the Al-Naft district of Tehran, demonstrators chanted slogans against the Iranian state at night, such as "death to the Basij," "death to the Revolutionary Guard," and "death to the child-killing regime."

In the areas of Salsabil, one of the old neighborhoods of Tehran, a group of demonstrators chanted at night, slogans such as "poverty, corruption and high prices, we are on our way to overthrow the regime." Some areas of Saadat Abad also witnessed a group of demonstrators chanting slogans against the state.

 Protesters in the Darband district of Tehran chanted "Death to the Islamic Republic" from inside homes and over residential complexes.

 While the announcement of calls to organize widespread strikes and protests coincided with a campaign of arrests against students, teachers, civil activists, politicians and other freedom fighters, according to the women's news agency NUJINHA.

 Associations, labor councils, university students and schools from all over Iran called for strikes and protests in the country, starting Monday (December 19) and ending on Wednesday (December 21).

 The callers to the strike urged closing shops, not buying from stores, not going to work, and demonstrating in the streets.

Popular protests erupted in Kurdistan and Iran, led by women, under the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî", in mid-September, after the killing of the Kurdish young woman, Gina Amini, at the hands of the Iranian morality police, under the pretext of not adhering to the "conditions of hijab."
