 Amid the continuation of the "Fourth Division" affiliated with the Damascus government to impose a suffocating siege on the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, the suffering of the people of the two neighborhoods in general and the patients in particular increases.  As a result, they are denied entry to medicines, which threatens their lives.

 Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods suffer from the consequences of the siege in the health field, as the two neighborhoods witness a shortage of infant formula, along with blood pressure, diabetes and heart medications, and antibiotics.

 Our agency monitored the suffering of a number of people with heart diseases and diabetes who find it difficult to find or buy their medicines.  As a result of their prices.

 The citizen, Zainab Hanan, who lives in the eastern section of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in the city of Aleppo, complained about the practices of the "Fourth Division", and said: "In addition to depriving us of heating fuel, they prevent the passage of medicines."

 And she continued, "It is known that diseases increase in the winter season for children and adults, and the demand for medicines increases, but the reality we live in is the opposite of that. Some medicines are missing in pharmacies; they are playing with our life counter."

 And she continued, "The two neighborhoods house all components, including Arabs, Kurds, and Circassians. We are all one people and the sons of Syria."

 Three times higher drug prices

 Zainab, 55 years old, suffers from heart disease, high blood pressure, and rheumatism, and she needs treatment.

 She said, "My blood pressure reaches 20."

 And she continued: "Previously, the price of  the blood pressure medicine was (1,500) SP, but now it is threefold, reaching 5,000, and it is not available in pharmacies, and this is threatens our lives."

 The living situation is deteriorating

 As for the citizen, Ali Rashid is tired of the "immoral work" in which the "Fourth Division" continues, and he said: "Today we are looking for our treatment. Medicine has nothing to do with politics and other things. The population here is high, and winter causes diseases and medicines are few."

 He continued, "I am diabetic and suffer from high blood pressure, and I am unable to buy my medicines. The living situation is deteriorating and the prices are exorbitant. I cannot go to other areas to buy medicine because my age does not allow me to walk for long, as transportation is another story."
