​​​​​​​ISIS's ambush leaves 5 members of National Defense dead in Al-Badia

Violent clashes took place between ISIS mercenaries and members of the "National Defense" after the ambush.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that mercenaries from ISIS detonated a landmine in a car carrying members of the "National Defense", killing 3 of them, then clashes erupted between the two parties, which resulted in the killing of two members of the "National Defense".

This comes in light of the increasing activity of ISIS mercenaries in those areas.

The death toll during the military operations in the Syrian desert, according to the documentation of the Syrian Observatory, has reached 404 since the beginning of the year 2022.

- 157 ISIS mercenaries were killed by Russian air strikes that targeted areas where they hide in separate areas of Badia Homs, Al-Suwayda, Hama, Raqqa, Deir al-Zor and Aleppo.

- 247 of  Damascus government forces and the groups loyal to it were killed in 93 operations by ISIS mercenaries that took place through ambushes, armed attacks and explosions in the desert of Deir al-Zor, Raqqa, Homs, Al-Suwayda, Hama and Aleppo, in addition to the killing of 4 citizens in ISIS attacks in the desert.
