European Court accepts Ocalan's lawsuit against Greece

The German Deutsche Welle Network stated that the European Court of Human Rights accepted the lawsuit made by the leader Abdullah Ocalan through his lawyer against Greece regarding its role during the period of the international conspiracy.

The lawsuit file includes Greece's violation of the provisions of the Human Rights Treaty during the period of the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan on October 9, 1998.

It is stated what Greece did against the leader violated the provisions of the European Human Rights Treaty. Where his request for political asylum was not considered, and he was detained illegally and prevented from claiming his rights before the Greek courts, and all these procedures breach the provisions of the European Human Rights Treaty.

While the leader Abdullah Ocalan was in Greece, he was arrested on October 9, 1998 at Athens Airport, and on the island of Corfu on January 29 and February 2, 1999, and at the Greek Embassy in Kenya on February 2 and 15, 1999, which contravenes Article 5 of the European Human Rights Treaty relating to the right to liberty and protection.

The leader filed a lawsuit against Turkey with the European Court of Human Rights, claiming that his life was endangered, ill-treatment and unfair trial during the period he was brought from Kenya on February 16, 1999. On March 2, 1999, the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture was the first foreign body to visit Imrali. In May 1999 issued a report stating that leader Ocalan was not subjected to torture or ill-treatment.

In its session on November 21, 2000, the European Court of Human Rights accepted the case file, and issued a decision on March 12, 2003, stating that Turkey, during its trial of leader Abdullah Ocalan, violated Article Six related to a fair trial, Article Five related to freedom and protection, and Article Three related to ill-treatment.
