Nabil Warda, spokesman of the Khabur Guard forces, spoke to ANHA about the ongoing attacks of the Turkish occupation army on north and east of Syria, which escalated on the night of November 19-20.

Nabil Warda said:" in the late hours of November 19 evening, the Turkish occupation began launching its attacks with warplanes and drones on the areas of NE Syria and all areas located on the frontlines, in an attempt to displace the residents of the region and commit massacres against them."

He pointed out "Turkish occupation targeted the energy sources, vital and public facilities, and region's economy to starve its people."

"The Turkish occupation attacks targeted the Joint points of the Syrian Democratic forces and the international coalition also in their base in Hasaka city, and those attacks were repeated, the Turkish occupation also targeted the Russian base in the Tal Tamr district, but it is noticeable that the Russian forces withdrew from their base before the targeting and returned afterwards.

On November 23, Russian forces withdraw from their base located in the Al-Hamra neighborhood, north of Tal Tamr district, before the Turkish occupation army targeted the joint point between them and the Syrian Democratic Forces in Tal Tamr, only to return again after the bombing. The bombing caused the martyrdom of two fighters and injured 3 others.

Nabil Warda, spokesman of the Assyrian Khabur Guards forces, explained in the context of his speech that "the Turkish occupation is trying to empty the areas of NE Syria of all its components, displace them and occupy more areas to change the demography of the region, and these attacks are considered a continuation of the massacres committed against us in 1915 by the Ottomans."

Warda called on the peoples of NE Syria with all its components to unite to deter attacks, saying: "the components of NE Syria must unite hand in hand to face all the challenges and attacks affecting our areas and not allow the occupation to reach its occupational goals, and deter all attacks.

Stressing the readiness of their forces, he said: "We will resist in the face of all attacks targeting the region," calling on the active forces in Syria to abide by their duties towards the peoples who sacrificed in order to protect the world from the threat of ISIS.
