Turkish attack puts Suwaidiye facility and other facilities out of service

During its recent attacks on north and east Syria (November 19-20), the Turkish occupation state targeted the infrastructure in an effort to deprive the people of services and force them to leave their areas in preparation to occupy it.

The goal of the Turkish occupation is the destruction of infrastructure and the failure of the Autonomous Administration project

In this context, the co-chair of the economic and Agricultural Body in the Autonomous Administration of NE Syria, Salman Barodo, said that "our regions have been subjected to heavy and violent artillery and aerial bombardment by the Turkish occupation state since November 20", adding: "This bombing is taking place in front of the eyes and silence of the international community, and the Turkish occupation's goal of this shelling is the destruction of infrastructure, the failure of the Autonomous Administration project."

Barodo pointed out that the Turkish bombardment of our areas affected vital facilities such as the oil and gas facility, and also hospitals, silos, and the Prisons and camps housing ISIS mercenaries, especially the Jerkeen prison in Qamishlo.

The Suwaidiye facility was feeding the area with gas and electricity

Barodo pointed out that the most affected facility is the gas facility in Suwaidiye, which fed NE Syria with 16,000 gas cylinders on a daily basis, in addition to feeding the Canton with 50%  of electricity.

5 other facilities are out of service

Barodo explained that the facility, which used to provide 16 thousand cylinders on a daily basis, is now out of service, in addition to the fact that 5 other oil facilities are out of Service.

Barodo pointed out that the Turkish bombardment had a very negative impact on our areas and vital facilities, especially as they feed the region with electricity and provide gas cylinders for the people of NE Syria.

AANES will try by all means to provide the spare parts

Salman Barodo said that according to the administration of this facility, it has become out of service, and there is difficulty in securing these parts, stressing: "the Autonomous Administration will try by all means to secure the spare parts and activate these facilities in order to serve the people of NE Syria.
