Violations Documentation Committee: We are working to find a mechanism to file cases against Turkey

Over the past few days, the fascist Turkish state has committed overt war crimes in its attacks on NE Syria

For its part, Violations Documentation Committee is seeking to file cases against the Turkish occupation state in the  international courts.

The co-chair of the committee and lawyer, Viyan Ayoub, said, "The committee's goal and primary work is to document, preserve and archive all violations committed by the Turkish state against civilians and all residents in NE Syria, so that, lawsuits can be filed in European and international courts.

Commenting on Turkish war crimes, she added, "Turkey targets infrastructure such as schools, hospitals and gas stations."

In an interview with ANHA agency, she confirmed that "what Turkey is committing is a flagrant violation of international laws and covenants, as it is committing with its current bombing, a war crime and genocide against the Kurds, and it targets the sovereignty of a neighboring country, which is not legally permissible."

The co-chair of the Committee, Viyan Ayoub, said, "The committee's main goal is to file lawsuits before international courts, and there are conditions for filing these lawsuits and it has many complex and long procedures that take a long time, and we are currently working to find a mechanism and a way to start these procedures, so that we can file these lawsuits in the future and very soon."

Dozens of lawyers and human rights activists, during a meeting held in the city of Kobani on the 24th of last September, had formed Violations Documentation Committee, to document violation affecting Syrians in NE Syria.
