5 Syrian soldiers killed, wounded in new Israeli air strikes

5 soldiers of the Damascus government forces were killed and wounded in Israeli targeting of some central and coastal points of Syria.

" At about six thirty in the morning, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from over the Mediterranean Sea from the direction of Baniyas, targeting some points in the central and coastal region, and our air defense system intercepted the aggression's missiles," a military source told pro-Damascus agency.

The source added that the targeting led to the death of 4 soldiers of the Damascus government forces, the wounding of another, and some material losses.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that explosions were heard in the coastal province of Latakia, as well as the regions of Hama and Homs, central Syria.

It is noteworthy that on the 13th of this month, two soldiers of the Damascus government forces were killed and three others were wounded in Israeli air strike from the direction of Tripoli-Hermel, north of Lebanon, on Al-Shayrat airport in the eastern countryside of Homs.
