2d conference of TAJÊ kicks off in Shengal

The conference coincides with the seventh anniversary of the liberation of Shengal from ISIS mercenaries, as part of the efforts of the Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement (TAJÊ) to expand its organization.

About 250 members of the Kurdish and Arab components are attending the conference, where women from Makhmour refugee camp were scheduled to join, but according to Roj news agency, the Iraqi checkpoints "did not allow the camp delegates to enter the district."

Nima Elias delivered the opening speech in the name of the "Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement", during which she welcomed all the attendees, especially the women of the Arab component, and said: We offer our condolences to all the fighters in the People's Defense Forces, the Free Women’s Units-Star, the forces of West Kurdistan, and the leader Abdullah Ocalan .”

She stressed, "Through this conference, we seek to convey our voice to the world."

"The conspiracies being hatched against us have not ended, and today we see the continuation of the KDP's cooperation with the occupying Turkish state and their attacks against us, so we need to increase our organization," Nima added.
