SDC:  Swedish FM's statements about not supporting Syria's Kurds are matter of astonishment and disapproval

Today, the Syrian Democratic Council issued a statement to public opinion regarding the Swedish government's statements that are hostile to Sweden's values ​​and contradict the culture of its society. At the outset, it stated, "The Syrian Democratic Council has followed with great concern the recent statements made by the Swedish government, and by its foreign minister, that are hostile to its values ​​and contradict the culture above all"

 The statement added, "The Syrian Democratic Council, with all its political components, expressing in turn the rightful demands of the people of Syria with all their national, ethnic and religious pluralism, regarding democratic transformation and change, and resolving its crisis according to its political track on the basis of international resolution 2254. It considered that these statements coincided with the eighth anniversary of international solidarity with the resistance  Kobani is astonished and deplored at the same time. This resistance, which created an important turning point in the path of undermining, fighting and confronting terrorist organizations, most notably the terrorist organization ISIS, which is no longer hidden from anyone that Ankara is one of its most important supporters for occupying Syrian areas, stressing in this regard that it is not hidden from the government of Sweden that the organic relationship between the Ankara regime and these organizations.”

The statement continued, "We assure Sweden, the people and government, that the resistance of the NE Syrians, the important part of the Syrian geography, has made a difference in establishing security and stability in all parts of the world, including the Kingdom of Sweden itself. The duty of the Kingdom of Sweden - as is known about it -  Taking the right position that expresses its human values ​​as a  pioneering country in the field of human rights consolidation, knowing that more than 35,000 martyrs and war wounded have been provided by the People's Protection Units, Women and the general formations of the Syrian Democratic Forces / SDF.

Pointing out that "Sweden is not weak enough to be subject to Turkey's blackmail, and it was not obliged until this moment to make concessions. Turkey has problems with all neighboring countries and the world as a result of its regime's projects  the subversive practices of its dictator and everything that is inimical to the truth of peoples, their peace, security and stability.

 In its statement, the SDC called on the people of Sweden to address this situation, "at a time when the Syrian Democratic Council affirms and supports every step that enhances Sweden's security and sovereignty, it demands the people of Sweden and all its parties and democratic forces in the forefront: the Social Democrats, all left and green parties to confront this situation because it will only be the first step in the usual way of blackmailing the dictator of Turkey, and it harms Sweden itself in the long run.

In conclusion, the statement called on the people of Syria and their democratic forces to reject the Swedish government's approach, and to be of assistance to all components of the Syrian Democratic Forces, including the People's Protection Units and Women.

 The Swedish Foreign Minister stated on November 5 that his country does not support the Kurds in Syria at a time when it is trying to win Turkey's approval to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

 While the Department of Foreign Relations in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria expressed its regret over the statement of the new Swedish Foreign Minister, Tobias Bellström, and said: "It is unfortunate to find such a statement from a Swedish minister, because of the relationship with Turkey and cooperation with it to satisfy Turkey to agree to Sweden's joining the NATO  North Atlantic".
