Another 6 months ban imposed on the leader Ocalan

It turned out that the decision to ban the meeting, which was imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan on the 13th of last April, on the 18th of October, was automatically extended for another six months.

The lawyers of Al-Asr Human Rights Office applied after the 18th of November; At the request of the Bursa Execution Court in order to meet their client.

Lawyers also demanded that they be informed of the ban on meetings. The court made it clear to the lawyers that no new "meet ban" had been imposed.

On this basis, the lawyers submitted a new request: "If meetings with lawyers are not prohibited, then why can't we meet with our client?"

This time, the court revealed that, on October 21, a new penalty was imposed that prohibits leader Ocalan from meeting with his lawyer for another six months.

The lawyers indicated that they were not informed of the imposition of this penalty and that they will object to it.

It is noteworthy that lawyers submit two requests per week to meet with leader Ocalan. However, these requests have not responsed. On the other hand, lawyers are sometimes notified after several months that there is a disciplinary penalty imposed on their client.
