SOHR: New information about recent Israeli bombing on Damascus

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that it had obtained new information about the latest Israeli bombing that targeted the countryside of Damascus yesterday, noting that the attacks destroyed military equipment used to assemble Iranian-made drones.

SANA news agency, affiliated with the Damascus government according to a military source from the Damascus government forces said in a statement, "At around 23.03 pm on Friday evening, the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack with bursts of missiles from the northeastern direction of Lake Tiberias, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus." The losses were limited to material.

Today, the Syrian Observatory said that it "received new information about the latest Israeli bombing on Syrian territory yesterday, as military logistical equipment used to assemble Iranian-made drones was destroyed within the area of Al-Dimas Military Airport in the western countryside of Damascus, as a result of its direct targeting." By the Israeli side, a radar and a landing strip at the airport were also targeted, no casualties were reported.

Israel targets sites of the Damascus government, which it says contain Iranian forces and weapons, despite the presence of advanced Russian air defense systems in Syria.
