​​​​​​​KCK condemns handing over of 2 HPG guerrillas to Turkey

On Sunday, the joint presidency of the Executive Committee of the Kurdistan Community Union (KCK) issued a written statement regarding the handover of HPG's fighters to the Turkish occupation state.

The statement read:

" Our two comrades were handed over by the Armenian state to the Turkish occupation state, the allegations that our comrades were arrested by the occupying power during the operation are unfounded. Our comrades were arrested by the Armenian government in November 2021, have been imprisoned since then, and handed over to the Turkish occupation state as a result of treason. Turkey seeks to cover up the betrayal of the Armenian government.

We strongly condemn and denounce the position of the Pashinyan government, which handed over both comrades to the Turkish occupation state".

This position of the Pashinyan government confirms the criticism and accusations leveled about the occupation of the territory of Armenia, and at a stage when the territory of Armenia is being occupied, instead of providing its support to those who are struggling against the authoritarian and fascist Turkish occupation state, their surrender to the occupying state shows this situation, this is also a betrayal of the struggle the Armenian people against genocide.

We call on all peoples and friends, especially the Armenian people, to rise up in the face of this government that is complicit in the occupation.

We believe that the Armenian people will show the necessary attitude towards this government and hold it accountable for this complicity and this betrayal.

We, in the name of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, call on the Pashinyan government to abandon its cooperation with the fascist and murderous Turkish occupation state, and to apologize to the Armenian and Kurdish peoples for this incident.
