HPG calls on Democratic Party to release captured fighters

 The media center of the HPG issued a statement regarding the attack on a number of Guerilla fighters in the Khalifan area, which resulted in the death of 3 fighters and capturing two others.

 The text of the statement stated:

On the fifth of this September, at approximately 19:30-20:00, a group of HPG's guerrilla fighters of five, was attacked by a drone in the Khalifan area, followed by a ground attack launched by the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) militants.

 As a result of the air attack jointly with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, three fighters were martyred and two were wounded. In this context, the Media Center of the Peoples Defense Forces issued a statement to the public opinion, which stated:

On the evening of September 5, a group of guerrilla drones attacked five fighters as they near the village of Tarafa in the Balisan Valley on their way to another area, they are Rizan Botan, Armanc Zilan, Karo Kobani, Ashikar Kulmirek and Zanyar Tafi.

 In this attack, we received news that 3 of our comrades were martyred and two wounded. We also learned that the Kurdistan Democratic Party forces had intervened at the scene immediately after the attack and captured our wounded comrades, while their fate is still unknown.

It is clear that in this area which is not a hot war zone, the reconnaissance plane suddenly attacked a group, which indicates that our comrades were being followed up, in addition, the sounds of gunfire heard by villagers of the surrounding village with the arrival of the forces the Kurdistan Democratic Party forces to the region was also remarkable.

 It is clear that this incident needs investigation and clarification, at this stage the information provided by our wounded comrades will also be important in clarifying how this incident happened, so we are waiting for the return of our comrades who were captured by the KDP as soon as possible.
