​​​​​​​Belgian Member of Parliament: Any military operation against the region benefits ISIS

On Sunday, August 29^th, a delegation from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, consisting of the representative of the administration in Europe, Abdul Karim Omar, and a member of the administration's representative in the Benelux Union, Issa Hanna, met with Belgian parliamentarian Georges Dalamen at the Belgian Parliament building.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views regarding the situation in Syria in general, and in the areas of the Autonomous Administration in particular, and the security, political and economic challenges facing the Autonomous Administration, in addition to the Turkish threats and its continuous aggression against the region, whether with artillery shelling or using UAvs targeting defenseless civilians, the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the new Turkish plan to invade new areas, in order to destabilize the region, stressing that this serves the mercenaries of ISIS. Belgian Member of Parliament Georges Dalamen was also presented with a picture of violations, crimes and demographic change taking place in the occupied territories.

For his part, George Dalamen stressed their appreciation for the role played by the Syrian Democratic Forces in confronting ISIS, and their appreciation for the sacrifices made by the Kurds and the components of North and East Syria against ISIS terrorism, which was and still threatens all humanity, and stressed the need not to neglect the situation in the regions of North and East Syria as a result The international community is preoccupied with the Russian war on Ukraine.

George Dalamen noted that with the stability of the region and against any military operation, it will lead to a new wave of displaced people and will destabilize the region, and only ISIS will benefit from it.
