​​​​​​​Jagar warns any agreement between the Damascus government and Turkish occupation state

 Since last June, the Turkish occupation state has escalated its ground and air attacks on northern and eastern Syria, which led to the death of dozens of citizens in al-Shahba, Shera and Sherawa cantons and the Euphrates and Jazira regions.

 In an exclusive interview with our agency, the coordinator of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Zalal Jagar, evaluated the latest developments at the political level in north and east Syria and Syria in general.

 She referred to the results of the meetings held recently on the Syrian issue, calling on the people of northern and eastern Syria to resist all attacks.

Results are not up to par

 She began her speech by referring to the tripartite meeting of Tehran that brought together the heads of (Iran, Turkey and Russia) on July 19, and the Sochi meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Erdogan on August 5 of this month, saying: "We cannot say that Turkey has not obtained a result.  Both of them, but it was not as required, because the interests of countries such as Russia, America and Iran are in conflict with the interests of Turkey.  It benefits from Iranian fear, Russian weakness, and US policy in the region."

She believes that Turkey did not achieve its demands in the recent meetings, and said, "Turkey did not get its demands in the Tehran and Sochi meetings, and as it is said that there are meetings between Turkey and the Damascus government, in my opinion, Turkey will not get what it wants again, because the interests of these countries do not complement each other,  In the world of politics, there are no constants, and changes always occur, and everyone rushes to take advantage of these changes. That is why it must be said that there is nothing absolute in politics.

 Jagar explained that the Turkish state has become "like a Trojan horse that enters the regions and wants to open them from the inside, such as Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, and it also wants to do that in Libya and Egypt, so it works at all levels. The goal of the Turkish state from launching brutal attacks on our regions is to prolong its life."  And this is what will be determined in the elections of 2023 in Turkey, and therefore if the Justice and Development government manages to liquidate the PKK and thwart the project of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, it will be able to remain in its power again.

'The agreement with the Autonomous Administration is the radical solution to the Syrian crisis'

 Jagar considered the rapprochement between Turkey and the Damascus government for the latter as breaking the tree on which it supports itself, explaining this by saying: "If it is true what appeared from Turkey and the Damascus government, and these two governments acted against the democratic Autonomous Administration, then I can say that the Damascus government will break the tree that  it supports itself, as Turkey is an occupied country, and all the areas it controls in the north and west of Syria are occupied and refuses to leave them. These approaches appear and what is said that these two governments are seeking to revive the Adana Agreement once again means that the Damascus government loses lands in favor of the Justice and Development government, and this has actually occurred since the advent of the Adana Agreement in 1998."

She stressed that the options for getting out of the Syrian crisis are many, reminding her by saying: "If the Damascus government had made an agreement with the Democratic Autonomous Administration, the situation of the Syrian people would not have been so tragic, because the solution to the Syrian crisis is in the hands of the Autonomous Administration, which has the basic project to develop a radical solution.  For the crisis, because Syria is a mosaic panel so the democratic nation project is the one that guarantees the rights of all these components in line with the demands of the Syrian people.

 The Damascus government should show a clear national position

 The coordinator of the Democratic Society Movement, Zalal Jagar, called on the Damascus government to show a clear patriotic position, saying: "The Damascus government must show a patriotic position towards the government of justice and development and show it that it exists to protect Syria's geography and unity, and to demand it to leave Syria because it is an occupied country that has made  The sons of Syria are mercenaries, and its interests have guided them.”

 She called on the Damascus government, "not to allow the Turkish state's games to continue in Syria any longer, and this will make the government of justice and development lose in the elections and lose its authority on this basis, because the 21st century is the century that will guarantee the Kurdish people's existence."

 The Turkish state will not be able to achieve any victory by killing

 On the Turkish occupation's targeting of northern and eastern Syria, Zalal Jagar said, "It shows the extent of Turkey's annoyance with the gains of the people of northern and eastern Syria through the repeated drone attacks on the people."

Indicating that "the Turkish state, by killing civilians and committing massacres against them, will not be able to achieve any victory. Rather, what it is doing increases the people's anger towards it, especially after committing the Tel Rifaat massacre and causing the martyrdom of 4 civilians, including a young man whose wedding was on the same night, along with  That is its targeting of students in al-Hasakah, as Turkey does not differentiate between children and women, whoever they are. Rather, it is all about intimidating parents and displacing them from the region in light of the silence imposed by Russia, America and Iran.”

 All nations, especially women, must rely on their own strength

 A coordinating member of the Democratic Society Movement, called on the people of northern and eastern Syria, and women in particular, to rely on their strength, "We must rely on our strength and so that we can defeat the Turkish state. The government of justice and development knows very well that the leader Ocalan showed women the extent of their capabilities and on this basis and the leadership of the activist Sakine Cansiz."  On its path, tens of thousands of women walked and were martyred in order to protect their dignity and their land. Therefore, the government of justice and development targets women in its attacks, because women are pioneers in the PKK and the Rojava revolution from the political, military and social side, but the woman who got acquainted with the approach of the leader Ocalan and got to know the essence of freedom.  It is impossible to retreat back and retreat, the truth is that its insistence is increasing, deriving from its solid will formed by the thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan in fighting the enemy . This is what the enemy wants to weaken, but this is our most powerful link and it cannot be weakened, and this was evident by targeting Hevrin Khalaf  The leadership, Jiyan, the young women who were educated in Al-Hasakah and the girls who worked in the lands in Tel Rifaat, but we women with our free thinking face the forces that are trying to annihilate us.  It has increased the pace of our struggle against them."

 A fateful and important year for the Kurds

 In her speech, Zalal Jagar stressed that this year is important for the Kurds. "This year for the peoples in the Middle East, especially for the Kurdish liberation movements, was an important year, and we can also call it a fateful year for us, and the reason for saying that the Third World War and since 2020 began with the countdown and here began  Authoritarian states distribute among themselves, to divide their rule over states and to put every stone in its place, and these places are according to their interests.  It appears between states, wars between Iran and Israel, between Russia and Ukraine, and instability in the Middle East suggesting that authoritarian states impose themselves and perpetuate their continuity by creating and controlling wars.

At the conclusion of her speech, Zalal Jagar, a coordinating member of the Movement for a Democratic Society, said, "For us, the Kurdish people, we believe in the ideology of the democratic nation, while (capitalist countries) fight this ideology.  Mountains to eliminate it, in addition to the Justice and Development government’s policy of repression against all those who call for democracy and freedom in Turkey, Bakur and Başûr Kurdistan, and the Justice and Development government has expanded its attacks to the people of north and east Syria, who adopt the democratic nation’s approach mainly in their regions, the Turkish state considers itself the enemy  the history of the Kurdish people, but in my opinion, the Turkish state is not only hostile to the Kurdish people, but all the components of the region from the Assyrians, Circassians, Armenians and others, since the inception of the Ottoman Empire until this day, when the Turkish state attacks through its marches or missiles, does it differentiate between anyone, I do not think  that?".
