SDF: One MIT agent killed and 2 agents arrested in special operation

The Press Office of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), released the following statement on their official website regarding the operation:

“Last Thursday (August 11), our forces carried out a special operation against a MIT-cell hideout in Abu Arzal in Tel Barrak town.

The cell is comprised of 3 people and they are complicit in the martyring of many of our comrades and commanders. They were working for the MIT intelligence in Tel Barrak and Qamishlo and provided information to the MIT regarding workers in the Autonomous Administration in addition to workers in civil institutions and the military sector.

During this operation, a cell-member named “Aziz Muhammed Al-Muhammed” resisted and refused to surrender and our forces had no other choice than to kill him. An additional 2 agents were arrested,

It is worth remembering that after the killing of "Aziz Muhammad Al-Muhammad" who worked for MIT, some Facebook sites related to MIT and its gangs spread the news of his death and tried to hide his identity and he was portraied as a civilian and attempted to cover over his dirty deeds."

The SDF stated that this operation was carried out in the framework of “Operation Oath, which the Syrian Democratic Forces launched and announced for destroying the MIT cells and arresting their members after the increase of attacks by the Turkish occupation against North and East Syria. “Operation Oath” was announced on July 31.
