Farhad Shami: Targeting of people`s homes in Northern Kurdistan is provocaion by MIT

The Turkish Intelligence organization (MIT), are with their media and press carrying out special warfare by spreading fake news. Such provocations by the Turkish occupation have been exposed many times in media. After the attacks by the Turkish occupation against the countrysides of the Jazeera region along the border, they have resorted to their media and special warfare claming that the SDF have bombed some houses in Northern Kurdistan situated along the border.

Regarding those accusations, Farhad Shami, head of SDF Press Center, gave answeres to some questions asked by our news agency.

Farhad Shami pointed out that their forces have not targeted any houses of the people in Northern Kurdistan and described these news as a tool of special warfare and that the shelling of the people`s homes in Northern Kurdistan is a provocation carried out by the MIT.

Shami continued: “Simultaneously with the brutal shelling against the Christian churches and civilian properties in Tirbespiye and Qamishlo which were carried out by the Turkish occupation state, it was brought to our attention that a shell had landed on the house of our people in Northern Kurdistan. The ones who carried out shelling against our regions in Tirbespiye, Qamishlo, Amude and Dirbesiye, in other words, the Turkish occupation army, were also the ones that shelled the houses of our fellow people in Northern Kurdistan and wanted to carry out provocations.”

The head of the SDF Press Office stated that just as much as they give importance to the welbeing of the people in Rojava and North and East Syria, they equally giver importance to the wellbeing of the people in Northern Kurdistan and that they take the sensitivity of this situation into account in all of their works and said: “ We emphasize that the Turkish MIT, following the shelling of our people's homes in Northern Kurdistan, have already done this provocation in Afrin and Serekaniye. Even the head of the MIT himself has confessed to this in Turkish media by providing such information. We hope that our people in Northern Kurdistan are aware of this reality and that they thwart the games played by the occupation.”

Farhad Shami concluded by stating that all of the operations carried out by their forces are being carried out in the framework of legitimate defense and that they are targeting bases and Turkish soldiers.
