Israel targets Damascus countryside, killing and wounding 16 members of Damascus forces

Israel targeted the countryside of the capital, Damascus, with missiles, killing and wounding 16 members of the Damascus government forces.

6 members of the Damascus government forces were killed, including 3 of Syrian nationalities and 3 of non-Syrian nationalities, in addition to the injury of 10 other members, as a result of the Israeli strikes on the countryside of Damascus, after midnight Thursday - Friday, while the rescue teams are still searching for missing persons in the targeted locations, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Israeli missiles had targeted Air Force Intelligence offices, a high-ranking officer's office and a car in the Mazzeh Military Airport, and rockets landed near a checkpoint in the vicinity of the military airport, the Mazzeh Highway, and Iranians weapons depot in the vicinity of the Sayeda Zainab area, which led to its complete destruction.

It is noteworthy that this Israeli targeting is the 18th on Syrian territory since the beginning of the new year 2022.
