​​​​​​​July 19th Revolution enhanced the women role in society

The July 19^th Revolution, which was characterized by women's leadership and leadership in all fields, military, political, social and diplomatic.

Activists, politicians and leaders in north and east Syria, on the occasion of the 10^th anniversary of the revolution, affirmed the continuation of the struggle and struggle against the genocidal attacks of the Turkish occupation, and identified five main goals for women in the region to achieve victory in their revolution.

To organize women intellectually and rid them of the patriarchal and authoritarian mentality, Kongra Star had the most prominent role within the revolution. The spokesperson for the Kongra Star coordination, Ramzia Mohammad, explained that women within the July 19^th Revolution became an example of the uprising and resistance for the cause of their freedom.

Ramzia Mohammad blessed the 10^th anniversary of the women’s revolution in Rojava, north and east Syria, to all women in the world, and said: “We are living in the tenth year of the Rojava revolution, north and east Syria. Years passed by the toil, struggle and resistance of peoples, especially the Kurdish woman, who was able to convey her experience of resistance to the women of all components can together achieve victory and become pioneers and leaders of the revolution.”

On the 10^th anniversary of the revolution, the spokesperson for the Kongra Star Coordination, Ramzia Mohammad, sent her message to all women in north and east Syria, saying: “The attacks against us are genocidal attacks, so all women must rally around their revolution and their women’s institutions to protect and deliver our democratic project for the Autonomous Administration and its delivery. To all stages of victory until it includes all of Syria."

In the north and east of Syria, and since the beginning of the revolution, women have been subjected to all forms of military or intellectual attacks, but women in the region were able to confront these attacks and defend their revolution and all peoples by organizing themselves within their own institutions, movements and unions, and one of the most important gains that women have made of their own will and her struggle, was the founding of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ)

Where the head of the Public Relations Office of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), Roxanne Mohammad, confirmed that the attacks against women during the revolution were not only military, but rather intellectual and mental, targeting their existence and will in the first place, but the YPJ’s units were able to reveal this fact to all women, and they struggled against all these attacks to protect its existence until it became an example of resistance in the world.

Roxanne Mohammad, drew attention to the sacrifices made by women in order to preserve the gains that were achieved during the ten years of the revolution, saying: There are more than 12 thousand martyrs and female martyrs, and 5 thousand wounded in the war. These people were a source of inspiration for the resistance to enable us to raise the pace of our struggle and continue their path.”

Speaking to all the women who are struggling for their freedom and existence, Roxanne Mohammad said: "The Women's Protection Units YPJ with their struggle and resistance have proven themselves, so to protect what has been achieved during 10 years of the revolution, all women must rally around their revolution, their gains and their military forces by joining the ranks of units to defend the land and the people against the constant threats and genocidal attacks, to raise the pace of struggle and to organize stronger within all arenas and fields on the basis and principles of the people’s revolutionary war.”

She added: "In the revolution, struggle and joining it with a strong will is required. Protecting it is the responsibility of the woman in the first place, because these attacks target her existence, so the extermination of women is the extermination of society."

For her part, the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Berivan Khaled, affirmed that women have a clear imprint in all military, political and social fields, and in the autonomous and civil administrations, and have been able to be the pioneers and leaders of their revolution.

She pointed out: "Women in north and east Syria of all components had a clear detour around the project of Autonomous Administration, and they were the first to adopt this project. They sacrificed, initiated and became leaders and pioneers within the revolution, so the gains of the July 19^th Revolution are the gains of women in the first place."

The co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Berivan Khaled, stressed the need to protect every woman in the region for the gains that have been achieved during the past 10 years, stressing: These gains are subject to continuous attacks and attempts to thwart the Autonomous Administration project and the brotherhood of peoples, so the duty to protect these gains falls on the shoulders of the woman.

The coordination member of the Women's Council in North and East Syria, Steer Qassem, agreed with the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and said: "The gains of the July 19^th Revolution are gains for all women in the world, not just for women in North and East Syria. Women were a mainstay in the establishment of the Autonomous Administration and the project of the democratic nation.

The tenth anniversary of the July 19^th Revolution blessed all women in north and east Syria, especially women in the occupied areas, and saluted their resistance against the policies and violations of the occupation and its mercenaries.

As for the leader of the Internal Security Forces - Women in North and East Syria, Mahdiya Hindi Hilal, who stressed in her message, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the revolution, the need for women to unite with their security forces to preserve the security and safety of the region from Turkish threats and attacks, and the July 19^th Revolution blessed the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the families of the martyrs and all the military and security forces

Mahdiya renewed her pledge to continue the struggle within the revolution to achieve security and stability in the region, and victory for the revolution, calling on all women to support their military and security forces in protecting the region from internal and external attacks.
