​​​​​​​Demands to impose a no-fly zone on NE Syria

 Today, the Afrin Canton Council, the Council of Martyrs' Families of Afrin Region, the Syrian Democratic Council and the political parties in the region issued separate statements about the Turkish threats to the region, and confirmed their support for the demands of the coordinator of the parties demanding the imposition of a no-fly zone on the region.

 Civil councils and political parties condemned in their statements the attacks and threats of the Turkish occupation against the region.  It stressed, "The regions of northeastern Syria at this period need safe areas to protect themselves from the attacks of the Turkish occupation, ISIS and radical terrorist groups, because the areas occupied by Turkey have become a daily haven for terrorist groups."

 It also called on "the member states of the globa coalition to combat ISIS, in particular the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the State of France, as well as the Russian Federation, to take strict measures against Turkey and to impose a no-fly zone on northern and eastern Syria to prevent any new invasion causing harm to millions."

 At the conclusion of their statements, the political parties and civil councils affirmed that their voice was joined with the voice of the political parties calling for the imposition of an air embargo on the region.
