SDF arrested an ISIS leader in Raqqa countryside

According to the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces, its special units carried out an operation near the village of "Al-Jarniyah" in the countryside of Tabqa city, during which they arrested a former leader of the terrorist "ISIS", who had been hiding and recently active for ISIS.

It said, "The former leader of ISIS was arrested during the raid of the place, and he had previously participated in battles against the Syrian Democratic Forces in different areas, and he worked in detonating vehicles that were used in bombings targeting our forces on the front lines during their battles to defeat ISIS" before year 2019.

Adding, "During the raid, documents and technical equipment were confiscated from the terrorist leader's possession, after his house was searched."

It continued, "This operation comes within the framework of the continuation of joint operations between our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces, to prevent ISIS and terrorist cells from threatening the safe population, and to stop their attacks against security and military points and service institutions."
