Arab-Kurdish Dialogue Conference kicks off tomorrow in Lebanese

The conference aims to find ways to strengthen relations between Kurds and Arabs in light of common challenges and threats, and a large number of Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Jordanian, Iraqi, Kurdish and other personalities will participate in it.

The conference begins with a minute of silence, the Lebanese and Kurdish national anthems, then a speech by the Preparatory Committee for the conference, and congratulatory telegrams.

The conference will consist of two sessions, the first of which will start at 10:30 and will include several axes: “The history of Kurdish-Arab relations and the Kurdish presence in Lebanon, history and the present, colonial policies and regional interventions, the influence of the mentality and tools of the nation-state on Arab-Kurdish relations” before ending this session with free discussion.”

The second session begins at one o’clock and includes the following topics: “solidarity and unity of destiny among peoples in the face of challenges, culture of coexistence and brotherhood of peoples, women’s pivotal role in democratizing society, proposed solutions and projects: the citizenship state and the democratic nation project” before this session also ends with discussions free.

The conference ends with a closing statement and an invitation to attend a luncheon.

It is noteworthy that the activities of the Arab-Kurdish Dialogue Conference are a sequel to several conferences held in other Arab countries, the last of which was last January, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, entitled “Arabs and Kurds… Dialogue is the path to a common future.”
