The lawyers, Razia Ozturk, Rizan Sarıca, Faik Ozgur Erol and Imran Amekci, submitted a request to the Public Prosecution Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and the administration of Imrali Prison to meet with their client, leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The Turkish occupation state is imposing strict isolation on the leader Ocalan, who has been detained on Imrali Island prison since 1999.

On the 13th of last April, the Turkish authorities decided to ban meetings with lawyers for a period of six months, while no information was provided to lawyers about the reason for this ban.

According to a previous statement by the al-Asar Office, only five interviews with lawyers have been conducted during the past 11 years, as no meeting with lawyers has been allowed since August 7, 2019.
