Jazira' notables stress the need to unite in the face of Ottoman ambitions

Al-Ahmad added, "All these attacks and invasions launched by Turkish occupation state come within its Ottoman plan to re-take Syrian lands from Mosul to Aleppo, according to the agreement concluded during the era of Ataturk, which is Milli Charter Agreement."

How dangerous is Turkish expansion project?

For his part, Sheikh of Banu Saba'a clan, Hassan Sulayman al-bu Khder, warned that "Turkey has committed, throughout its history, biggest massacres against the Kurds, such as Dersim massacre, and this massacre is a disgrace to all of humanity, as thousands of children, women and elderly were killed in it."

He added, "Turkey's plans are not new, and it is what it seeks to achieve through its attacks; to occupy Syrian and Iraqi lands from Mosul to Aleppo in order to expand the geography of its occupation, obliterate Kurdish and Yazidi identities and eliminate the project put forward by leader Ocalan, which is the project of brotherhood of peoples, and All components solidarity.

In the same context, the sheikh of Kurdish Kaska clan, Muhammad Sa'eed al-Nayef, stressed, "Iraqi state must be aware of the dangers facing it, and that Turkish state has not and will not serve any country except for its interests, such as its occupation of Afrin, its implementation of demographic change and the obliteration of Kurdish identity And Erdogan now is repeating the same scenario in southern Kurdistan.

Al-Nayef stated that Turkey today is pushing the mercenaries who were recruited and supported by Turkish state to the offensive lines against legitimate defense areas and southern Kurdistan in Turkish military clothes and Turkish flag, and said that Turkish state has goals in bloodshed, occupying lands and displacing the peoples of the region. He stressed the need to be wary of the policies of Turkish occupation state, and to preserve the security and safety that the peoples of the region have achieved.

Arab and Kurdish sheikhs in Jazira region called on "all components to join hands to deter the attacks launched by Turkish occupation on our areas, and we must stand in the face of these attacks together, and in our unity we will confront the neo-Ottoman attacks."
