Joint events Platform of women's movements and organizations in NE, Syria issued a statement to the public opinion about Turkish attacks on the legitimate defense areas in southern Kurdistan, and NE Syria.

It added: "After its failure to achieve its goals, Turkey resorted to direct military operations in the Syrian geography, (Afrin, Serêkaniyê, Tal Abyad, Jarabulus, Azaz and Al-Bab) and killed, looted, robbed and raped women and property, moreover it worked to empty those areas of their people and settle strangers in clear violation of the principles of international humanitarian law.”

It stated" what is happening in the Southern Kurdistan region, "a brutal and barbaric attack with all kinds of weapons, under the pretext of eliminating the Kurdistan Workers' Party and targeting the People's Defense Forces (HPG)."

The platform also confirmed that it is a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Iraqi state, which is a member of the United Nations, and intimidation of the residents of those safe areas, coinciding with the targeting of citizens along the borders in Zarghan, Tal Tamr, Kobani, Ain Issa, Manbij, Afrin, Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain, and Girê Spî / Tal Abyad, with drones.
