Afrin IDPs: We are determined to resist in Shahba

Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries expanded operations to target villages inhabited by citizens in Shahba Canton and Shera and Sherawa districts of occupied Canton of Afrin.

At least 300 shells were fired at the areas of frontlines with Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries stationed in the occupied villages of Al-Bab, Marea'a, Azaz and Afrin.

A number of people spoke to ANHA agency and confirmed their determination to remain in Shahba and Sherawa areas until the liberation of Afrin and return to it after its liberation from Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

Citizen Louqman Bakir said that they were bombed by Turkish occupation army: "Several shells landed in the center of Til Rifa'at district in Shahba Canton, among civilian homes."

Bakir indicated that this bombing, "is not a new thing, as we are exposed almost daily to bombardment by Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries stationed in neighboring occupied areas."

Bakir explained that "Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries are trying, through almost daily bombing of civilians, to intimidate us and force us to go out in order to occupy the area as they did in many Syrian areas, but we assure them and the world that we are resisting here under bombardment and in difficult conditions of life until the last breath and their shells will not break our will."

Laila Rasho, who lives in Al-A'awda camp, in Al-Ziyara village of Sherawa district, explained that for more than 4 years they have been subjected to the bombing of Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

And she said "We have been resisting for 5 years in the camp under difficult living conditions, not to mention being bombarded almost daily by Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries."

She indicated that "their goal is to displace us for the second time after they displaced us from Afrin, from here, from the camp of resistance, we say to the whole world that we will not surrender and will not back down from the decision of resistance."

Laila Rasho indicated that they are determined to remain in Al-A'awda camp in Sherawa district, until the liberation of Afrin and return to it again.

For his part, the co-chair of Tel Rifa'at District Council, Ibrahim Rihany, indicated that Turkish occupation and its mercenaries seek by targeting citizens, to break the resistance of the people and empty the area.

Noting that Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have been targeting citizens' homes with missiles and drones for more than 4 years, which puts the lives of citizens at risk.

Ibrahim Rihani pointed out that the siege of Damascus government made the matters worse, with the continued bombardment of Turkish occupation on the villages of Shahba Canton and Sherawa district.
