Shervan Darwish: We will defend ourselves and gains made

The districts of Tal Tamr, Ain Issa, Manbij and the Shahba Canton undergo shelling by the Turkish occupation forces and the affiliated mercenary groups on daily bases.

On the topic, ANHA met Spokesperson for the Manbij Military Council Shervan Darwish, who said'' the Turkish occupation state  increased  its attacks and moves in North and East Syria, it aims to destabilize the region as a whole. The Turkish occupation state seeks now to exploit the world preoccupation with the war in Ukraine to move and create new military bases in the region and then to target the region''. 

''when the circumstances are ripe the Turkish occupation state carries out attacks on North and East Syria, on the whole tape extending from Tal Tamr and Ain Issa up to Manbij and Shahba in a bid to advance but our forces are always ready to check them in'', Darwish said.   

Shervan said they are ready to repel any potential attacks by the Turkish occupation army and on this bases they are taking the necessary military matters ready, ''the aim of the Turkish tries to export its internal crises outside to neighboring countries''.  

Darwish went on to say the current situation in Syria needs new horizons for solutions not launching new wars, but the Turkish occupation state has not saturated with the blood of Syrians and that its extensionist aspirations are still live to strike at the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the democratic nation idea, says Darwish.

Darwish said the Turkish occupation state gives no chance for the project to reach all Syria whose people live in the crisis '' all plots of the Turkish occupation state in Syrian have become clear and open''.

At the end Shervan hailed the Syrian Democratic Forces the Manbij Military Council fighters in repelling the Turkish attacks on North and East Syria,'' they defensive system of the Manbij Military Council became very advanced militarily, and the support given by our people to us''.    

Darwish said : we are not war mongers but if we attacked we would defend our lands and gains that were made by the sacrifices of martyrs dearly''.
