Khalil Abdi condemns Sheikh Maqsud-Ashrefiye blockade

Member of the Presidential Council of the Syria's Democratic Council in the Euphrates Region Khalil Abdi condemned the blockade imposed on Sheikh Maqsud and Ashrefiye quarters of the city of Aleppo, by the Fourth Division of the Syrian government.

The blockade imposed by the Syrian government on the Sheikh Maqsud and Ashrefiye quarters of the city of Aleppo, and the Shahba Canton by the Fourth Division of the Syrian government is still on going as people in the three areas resisting.

Member of the Presidential Council of the Syria's Democratic Council in the Euphrates Region Khalil Abdi was met by ANHA. Khalil condemned the blockade imposed by the Fourth Division of the Syrian government.

''we in the Syria's Democratic Council of the Euphrates Region condemn in the strongest terms the blockade imposed on these two quarters. For us this was not something strange to the conduct of the Syrian regime and its dealing with the Syrian people. Since the very onset of the Syrian crisis the regime adopts the same security approach in dealing with crisis. the regime seeks to create sedition among the Syrian components just to preserve its interest and to remain in power.''

Khalil went on to say that by ''the blockade imposed on both Sheikh Maqsud and Ashrefiye quarters the Syrian regime proves that is does not accept peaceful solutions in Syria. It is attached to security approaches and authoritarian mentality. For this it seeks to create disorder and strike at the stability in the areas of the Autonomous Administration o North and East Syria where peace and security prevail on the contrary to all areas occupied by the Turkish occupation forces or those under the control of Syrian regime''.

Khalil said since the onset of the Syrian crisis we try to convince the Syrian regime to give up its destructive policy in the region, and to make it a democracy and an administration that serves everyone but it proceeds with its outdated policies of murder, destruction, besiege, and isolating areas from others''.

Khalil said the Syrian government merely watches the Turkish invasion of the North and East Syria just to dismantle the Autonomous Administration o North and East Syria. Today after large areas of the Syrian territories are occupied by the Turkish occupation state the Syrian regime embraces the divide and rule policy instead to be with the people to build a democratic project''.

At the end Member of the Presidential Council of the Syria's Democratic Council in the Euphrates Region Khalil Abdi called on the people of the Sheikh Maqsud and Ashrefiye quarters to remain steadfast in the face of the imposed blockade for they previously face an more harsh one saying they will eventually attain victory.

Since 13 March both Sheikh Maqsud and Ashrefiye in the city of Aleppo are under blockade imposed by the Fourth Division of the Syrian government.
