​​​​​​​​​​​Amidst talk of a joint plan to attack Guerilla... Barzani arrives in Turkey

 Today, Friday, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, arrived in Turkey on an official visit, during which he will meet with Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

 A brief statement issued by the Başûr government stated that the Prime Minister will discuss, during the meetings, ways to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, in addition to discussing the latest developments in Iraq and the region.

 This visit came at a time when there is a lot of talk about a joint scheme between the Turkish occupation and the Kurdistan Democratic Party to launch attacks on the Peoples Defense Forces "Guerilla".  The Foreign Relations Committee of the Kurdistan Society announced in a statement on March 26 that the Turkish occupation state plans to launch an attack on Başûr Kurdistan in cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

 The village of Haruri, in the Kani Massi district, was attacked last night;  of artillery shelling by the Turkish occupation army, and an activist reported that two shells fell on two houses of the villagers, causing great damage.

 The Turkish occupation state has continued to systematically bomb the area since April 23 last year, targeting civilian areas directly, and using chemical weapons against the People's  Defense Forces. These attacks were accompanied by logging operations, which included large areas of the region’s forests.

 Despite the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on large areas of Başûr Kurdistan, the federal and regional governments remain silent.

 The Kurdistan Society had called in its statement, and said: “We call on the Parliament of South Kurdistan, political parties, civil society organizations, official institutions and citizens to rise up against the occupation’s conspiracies and warn the Kurdistan Democratic Party.  We inform all our people and our country of this conspiracy, the KDP should not participate in this conspiracy.”

 This visit came at a time when the regions of northeastern Syria are witnessing mass demonstrations to protest against the cooperation and complicity of the Kurdistan Democratic Party with the Turkish occupation in the attacks on the legitimate defense areas, and the tightening of the siege on northern and eastern Syria.
