​​​​​​​ International conspiracy against resistance of Afrin IDPs by Damascus, Turkish occupation state

 The Damascus government continues to impose various forms of siege on the displaced in al-Shahba canton and to prevent the entry of fuel and foodstuffs needed to meet the people's daily needs.

 The displaced people of Afrin and the people of al-Shahba canton suffer from the interruption of domestic gas, as a result of the checkpoints of the Damascus government forces stationed at the entrances to al-Shahba canton preventing cars loaded with gas cylinders from entering.

 According to the management of gas cylinders depots in al-Shahba canton, the Fourth Division of the Damascus government prevents cars loaded with gas cylinders from entering the crossing square in the city of Manbij to head towards al-Shahba canton.

 In this context, a number of Afrin IDPs living in Al-Shahba canton told our agency that the Damascus government is trying to undermine the resistance of Afrin IDPs and incite the people against the administration.

 Citizen Muhammad Ali, referred to the joint policies practiced by both the government of Damascus and the Turkish occupation state against the people in al-Shahba canton for 4 years, “For more than four years, we have been in continuous resistance in al-Shahba canton, under tents, as the dominant countries support the Syrian government, besieging al-Shahba on the one hand, and supporting the Turkish occupation by bombing the area on the other hand.”

 Our will is stronger than their siege

 Ali explained that they have been suffering for 25 days from gas cuts in Sardam camp, in addition to their daily needs of food and fuel, due to the suffocating siege imposed by the Damascus government on the area.

 Ali indicated that the Damascus government is trying to subdue those in al-Shahba canton, and break their resistance that has been going on for more than four years, in order to displace them and incite the people against the administration, stressing that they will not back down from their resistance.

 They are trying to force us to surrender

 For her part, Dilshan Hussein said that an international conspiracy is being practiced by the dominant countries against the Kurds as a whole, especially in north and east Syria, "and the tool is the Syrian government on one side and the Turkish occupation army on the other."

 Dilshan indicated that the aim of the siege imposed on al-Shahba is to undermine the will of the people and create strife among the spectrum of society, by inciting the people against the Autonomous Administration.

 In her speech, Dilshan Hussein confirmed that they are aware of the systematic policies being practiced against them, "We are determined to resist in al-Shahba."

 The silence of the international community is evidence of their participation

 As for Zainab Muhammad, she pointed out that prices have increased exponentially day after day in al-Shahba as a result of the siege of the Damascus government and its prohibition of goods from entering the area.

 Zainab noted that the Damascus government prevents materials with the aim of tightening the noose around the people in al-Shahba.

 Zainab explained that they suffer, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan, from securing their daily needs with the advent of Eid.

 Zainab denounced the silence of the international community and human rights organizations regarding the practices of the Damascus government and the Turkish occupation state against them.

 As if we are not Syrians!

 In this regard, the co-chair of the Sardam camp council, Muhammad Othman, spoke, and said that the people in Sardam camp have been suffering for nearly a month with difficult living conditions as a result of the interruption of domestic gas.

 Othman pointed out that the Damascus government differentiates between the Syrians, as if the displaced people of Afrin are not from the Syrian people, to besiege them from all sides, noting that the camp’s residents have been cooking food on firewood inside the camp for nearly a month, which poses a great danger to the displaced under the tents.

 In his speech, Muhammad Othman called for finding a quick solution to the systematic suffocating siege."

 From 27 thousand records every month, only 10 thousand were allowed in every few months

 The Secretary of the gas cylinders warehouse in al-Shahba, Basil Sheikh Muhammad, explained that the region has been suffering from interruption of domestic gas since the beginning of this year."

 Sheikh Muhammad indicated that the monthly needs of gas for al-Shahba canton amount to more than 27,000 jars, but the Damascus government only allowed 10,000 jars to enter every more than three months.

 Sheikh Mohammed said that since the beginning of this year, the Damascus government has only allowed the entry of gas once, which led to a real crisis among the people.

 Sheikh Muhammad indicated that the Fourth Division of the Damascus government is currently preventing the entry of gas into al-Shahba canton from the Manbij city crossing.

 Sheikh Muhammad indicated that they were previously trying to ease the stifling siege on al-Shahba by buying domestic gas from merchants at a free price, which amounted to 55 thousand Syrian pounds, and selling it to the people at a price of 5 thousand, and to camp residents for free, noting that the price of a cylinder of domestic gas reached in  Black market to 150 thousand Syrian pounds, if any.
