Fascist Turkish state seeks to eliminate Kurds in region

 The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state continue to destroy dozens of citizens’ homes in Girê Spi / Tal Abyad and Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain district, as part of a series of crimes committed in the two areas after their occupation in October 2019, which caused the displacement of their residents, death of hundreds and the destruction of infrastructure as a result of  Turkish air and artillery bombardment.

 The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation began destroying houses in the village of "Al-Sharkarak  Jinoubi" in the Ain Issa district, adjacent to the M4 international road, in April 2020, when they evacuated the houses of their residents and began to demolish them.

 Our agency had previously documented that the Turkish occupation army demolished 25 homes in the village of  Sharkarak  alone.

 According to the Violations Documentation Center in Northern Syria, during the period October 22, 2019, until March 30, 2020, the Turkish occupation forces and mercenary groups demolished 127 homes, claiming that a family member participated in the implementation, planning, or assistance in operations against the Turkish occupation in Syria or is he a supporter of the Autonomous Administration .

 On the 21st of March, corresponding to Newroz Day, the Turkish occupation army demolished 12 homes of the displaced from the village of Ain Al-Hussan in the Serêkaniyê / Ras Al-Ain canton.

 The Turkish occupation army also demolished the house of a displaced person in the village of Talil al-Dhala, east of the town of Suluk in the Girê Spi / Tal Abyad canton a few days ago, as a video published by our agency earlier shows the complete destruction of the house by military bulldozers of the Turkish occupation army.

 The Turkish occupation army has built military headquarters in the place of the houses that it destroyed previously in several areas, and all these crimes are taking place in light of international silence, and the absence of international human rights organizations from following up on these violations related to the demolition of houses under fabricated pretexts and without judicial review.

 'The people of the region will defeat the occupation and mercenaries"

 In this context, a member of the General Disciplinary Board of the Democratic Union Party, Saleh Noah, said that "since its occupation of some areas in north and east Syria, the Turkish occupation state has been committing crimes and practicing all kinds of violations in the region, starting with forced displacement, demographic change, theft, looting, killing, torture and kidnapping, up to  demolition of the homes of the forcibly displaced from their areas.

 Salih Noah believes that the aim of these crimes, violations and the destruction of homes is to exterminate the Kurdish presence in the region;  Because the majority of the houses that were destroyed belong to the Kurdish component in the area, he said, "This is evidence of the hatred of the Turkish occupation state for the Kurdish people and its intolerance of the existence of what is associated with the Kurds, in an attempt to end their impact there and erase their memory by demolishing the homes of their ancestors."

 He added, "We still see the angry reaction of our people towards the violations and crimes committed by Turkey against them in the region. We note that no matter what the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries do in the region, they will not be able to break the will of our people; quite the opposite, which increases the pace of their struggle against the Turkish occupation".

 He concluded his speech by saying, "We are confident that our people will continue to struggle in the face of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries until the liberation of all lands and regions from the abomination of the occupation and its mercenaries, no matter what crimes and violations they commit, they will be defeated by our people."
