In a statement released by the Internally Displaced Persons of the Sere Kaniye/Rhsaina and Tal Abyad it runs:

''after the occupation of Afrin and Sere Kaniye and Tal Abyad Turkish authorities send military and official delegations to our areas as if they were parts of the Turkish territories in a blatant breach to the Syrian sovereignty. This comes as a bid to attach these areas to the Turkish state.

The latest delegation visit headed by Ahmed Sorjan member of the Development and Justice Party and an MP to the city of Sere Kaniye is illegitimate and it is in complicity with the so-called Local Council of the city of Sere Kaniye and the military factions.

this is part of the policy of the Turkish state to control occupied areas from Sere Kaniye up to Afrin and Tan Abyad and other areas that are estimated at about 9,000 sk.

The practises aim to annex these areas to Turkey and to displace the indigenous people of these areas and to attach them to Turkey all under the nose of the world at large. These practises hinder any real solution to the Syrian crisis.

We renew our rejection and our condemnation of these inhumane and illegal practises as we confirm our insistence to liberate our lands from Turkish occupation and its tools, calling at the same time on the international community and all concerned organization to take the necessary steps to stop these practises and to bound Turkey to withdraw from our territories''.
