Ahmed Khoja: KDP's wall is a confirmation of Sykes-Picot agreement

Reactions continued to condemn the construction of the wall between Shengal and NE, Syria by the Iraqi army, in conjunction with the mobilization of KDP forces near the legitimate defense areas.

The Iraqi army had begun building a concrete barrier between Shengal and NE, Syria, by order of the outgoing Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi.

According to sources, the wall will extend on the Syrian-Iraqi border with a length of 250 km and a height of about 4 meters, equipped with watchtowers that include thermal cameras.

Building the wall is a consolidation of the Sykes-Picot agreement

In an interview with ANHA, Member of Democratic Union Party,  PYD,  Ahmed Khoja considered the construction process a confirmation of the Sykes-Picot Agreement, the secret treaty concluded between France and Britain with ratification of the Russian Empire in 1916.

Khoja indicated this step targets the Kurdish will after a century of the Sykes-Picot agreement.

He explained that the construction process coincides with the KDP's mobilization of its forces near the Matina area in southern Kurdistan, which means a joint plot against the guerrillas, whereas Furat News Agency revealed a joint plan between the Turkish occupation and the Kurdistan Democratic Party to occupy some areas between Qomaria Castle and Qashura.

Worth mentioning that KDP had ambushed a group of 7 fighters from the Guerilla forces on August 28-29 last year, in the Khalifan area as a result of which 5 fighters were martyred.

Ahmed Khoja stressed that Newroz this year gave a clear message to Turkey and the whole world which says that we have an identity and our people cannot be exterminated ".
