​​​​​​​AANES hands over 27 children and 10 women from Roj Camp to Germany

On March 30, a delegation from German Foreign Ministry visited Foreign Relations Department of AANES, headed by Director of Consular Affairs at German Foreign Ministry, Kort Georg Shtukel-Stilfried, and assistant of German Foreign Consulate, Manga Clees.

The delegation was received by co-chair of Foreign Relations Department, Abd al-Karim Omar, the department's deputies, Fanar al Ka'ait and A'aber Elia, and representative of Women's Protection Units Relations Office, Lana Hassan.

The two sides discussed the Syrian situation and ways to solve the Syrian crisis in general, and the economic and health situation of NE' Syria in particular, the situation of camps and IDPs, in addition to the regional risks and threats facing the Autonomous Administration.

The German delegation, headed by Director of Consular Affairs at the German Foreign Ministry, Kort Georg Shtukel-Stilfried, stressed that the German state continues its humanitarian and economic support for AANES

In turn, Foreign Relations Department urged Germany to put pressure on European Union countries in order to expedite the solution of the file of ISIS families and children in the camps and ISIS mercenaries detainees.

At the end of the meeting, Foreign Relations Department handed over 27 children and 10 women from ISIS families who hold German citizenship to the German delegation according to an official document signed between the two sides, who were living in Roj camp for ISIS families and children.

Co-chair deputy of Foreign Relations Department Fanar K'aait told ANHA agency that this is the third visit by a German delegation to the region, and said: "In the last visit, Foreign Relations Department handed over 27 children and 10 women."

Fanar K'aait noted that the process of receiving and handing over ISIS families and children all took place according to official documents, and said: "After several correspondences and communication with the official and concerned authorities, a document is signed between Foreign Relations Department and the relevant government."

K'aait drew attention to the fact that European state's response to the demands of Autonomous Administration does not live up to the hoped level, regarding the necessity of receiving their nationals from the families and children of ISIS.

Ka'ait hoped that European countries would respond to the calls of AANES, and take back their nationals who joined the ranks of ISIS as soon as possible .

So far, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has handed over a total of 91 ISIS families and children to the German state who were present in Autonomous Administration camps, according to official documents, 69 children aged between 4 and 10 years, and 22 women, aged between 24 and 37 years.
