Activities held in Hasaka Canton marking 8 March

With the approach of the International Woman's Day to be commemorated tomorrow a series of activities were organized in the Hasaka Canton of NES.

The Kongra Star Coordination in fellowship with associations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria organized activity today in which 121 trees  were planted at the Martyr Dijwar Graveyard in the village of Daudiye in the country side of Hasaka.

The activity is being held in deference to the martyrs fell in the Peoples' Hammer Operation lately in the city of Hasaka against the ISIS onslaught on the Ghweiran prison.  

Participants were the Health Committee attached to Kongra Star, Martyrs' Families Council and Women Council in the Municipality of Hasaka Council.

In a relevant issue, Democratic Union Party (PYD) organized a lecture in the district of Zarghan in northern Hasaka Canton under Combating Male's Mentality in which tens of men took part representing associations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in the district as well civil society associations.

The lecture was delivered by member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party Adnan Kalo who said women ought to play their roles in society mentioning in name the Mirabal Sisters.
