Qardash's killing.. How ISIS to be affected?

 Who is Quraishhi?

 He is Amir Muhammad Saeed Abd al-Rahman Muhammad al-Mawla, born in 1976, of Turkmen origin from Iraq, known for his brutal style of pursuing ISIS goals.

 He was nicknamed in different ways, including Haji Abdullah Qardash, Abu Omar al-Turkmani, and Ustad Ahmad, in addition to Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Quraishi.

 According to reports, he was the driving force behind the ISIS attacks on Şengal in 2014 and the execution of crimes against the Yazidis.

 He joined the pre-ISIS, al-Qaeda in Iraq organization in March 2007, serving as a "Shari'a" teacher, judge, and deputy governor (governor) of Mosul for al-Qaeda in Iraq.

 He served as a "shari'a judge" for ISIS in Iraq, then a general "shari'a judge" for the "caliphate", as a courier among ISIS's top leaders, including al-Baghdadi, and eventually took over the position of ISIS deputy emir in August 2017.

 In March 2020, he was designated a Specially Designated Global Terrorist under Executive Order 13224, as the US Treasury Department's Rewards for Justice Program set a $10 million reward for bringing him to justice.

 On the killing of Qardash, the researcher in Islamic groups, Mustafa Amin, said: “ its timing is important, as the success of the United States of America in killing the leader of ISIS is an important blow and indicates that the United States of America has the ability to employ the information and data it obtains, whether from its local partners or by using technology and cases of penetration of people, locations and communications of the organization’s elements and their ability to target and locate the caliph and target it for the second time, as it had previously killed the leader of the organization, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on October 27, 2019 and also killed almost two years later the second leader of ISIS in February 2022.  .

 "This indicates its great ability to infiltrate ISIS and benefit from the data it collects from its local partners and the modern technology. intelligence elements in dealing with this type of terrorist," he added.

 Is there a link between what happened in Ghweran prison and the killing of Qardash?

 Biden said that Al-Quraishi "oversaw operations around the world and was responsible for the brutal attack on a prison in northeastern Syria to free ISIS prisoners," in reference to ISIS' attacks on Al-Sina'a prison.

 Commenting on this, the Director of the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Farhad Shami, said in a post on the virtual communication pages: "The second leader of ISIS (the caliph of al-Baghdadi) was also under the protection of the Turkish army in Idlib and occupied Afrin; can anyone doubt the issue of Turkey's involvement?  In the attack on al-Sina’a prison in al-Hasakah and the launch of a large number of terrorists attacking from the occupied areas, especially that the first leader of these was located near a Turkish police station on the border with a distance of no more than 2 km, and it is obvious that he was well-informed and involved in the attack plan.”

 Al-Shami added, "Can anyone question the information we provided that the plan to attack the prison was prepared with regional support?!"

 Mustafa Amin said in this context: "The link between this person and the events of Ghweran prison is within the framework of the strategy and the call that he and the organization's spokesman addressed to the demolition of the walls and carried the slogan (Undo Al-Ani) and they are the prisoners and detainees present, whether in the prisons of the Syrian Democratic Forces or in  Iraqi or Afghan prisons, or even prisons in West Africa and Nigeria, and the organization recently carried out an operation that was able to release 32 ISIS prisoners in Nigeria.”

 He added, "It is within the framework of this strategy, and the link is that the orientation and theorizing regarding the general strategies of ISIS, which it identifies, decides, and sets the big and special titles for, is less central to leaving the details to the states cities temporarily, breaking walls, etc., while the states are implementing them in the framework of the details.

 Meanwhile, the "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights" reported that the killing of the leader of ISIS was the first spark from the Al-Sinaa  prison.

 The observatory stated in its report that the killing of "Al-Quraishi simulates the killing of Al-Baghdadi," noting that "the key to Ghweran prison was the way to kill Al-Quraishi."

 The observatory indicated the name of the leader who surrendered in the last hours of the Ghweran prison operations, explaining that "Abu Obeida was making contact with his relatives who were present in one of the Syrian regions."

 The report stated: "This leader, after surrendering to the Syrian Democratic Forces, gave information, and revealed many of his leaders," in reference to the information support provided by the SDF to the Global Coalition.

 Important timing and abort state of inspiration

 On the importance of the killing of the ISIS leader after the events of Ghweran prison, Amin considered that it “carries a very great importance, because it was able to abort the state of spiritual inspiration that pushed inside the organization after the Ghweran prison operation.

 He added, "Therefore, this operation aborted this matter, but according to the words of the American president, he was arranging for the killing of the leader of ISIS a month ago, meaning that they knew his location even before the Gweran operation, meaning that there is a difference between the operation that is carried out and carried out by a local group affiliated with ISIS."  And the presence of the leader of the organization, as those who carried out the operation did not know the location of the leader of ISIS, but they received orders and instructions within the framework of the general strategy, general vision and general theorizing carried out by the central leadership of ISIS.

 A major role for SDF and "the Americans are negligent"

 US President Joe Biden thanked the Syrian Democratic Forces for their assistance in the operation to kill the leader of ISIS mercenaries in the town of Atma, occupied by Turkey.

 On this, Mustafa Amin said: "Of course, thanking was expected, because the Syrian Democratic Forces certainly have the information and data they collect, whether from ISIS elements in prisons or those in camps, and certainly there is information cooperation between the Americans and what  among the Syrian Democratic Forces in this matter.

 And he added, "But the Americans are clearly remiss in supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces, because they have this wide base of data and they benefit from it in targeting ISIS leaders."

 He explained, "It is assumed that this corresponds to greater and broader support and information supply, and the analysis of this information for the Syrian Democratic Forces, and if they had this information or were loyal or supported the Syrian Democratic Forces, they would have provided him with information about the organization's intention to carry out this type of attack on the prison in Ghweran, and also  They would have supported the operations of the Syrian Democratic Forces against ISIS elements, and they would also have supported the rehabilitation of ISIS prisoners and ISIS cubs, and we know that the Americans are clearly short on them."

 Why did the operation start from Kobani and not from Turkey?

 The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the US helicopters that carried out the targeting operations were launched from a military base in the city of Kobani.

 According to the observatory, members of the Special Forces of the Syrian Democratic Forces participated in the operation in Idlib.

 In this context, Amin explained, "The launch of American planes from Kobani aims to speed up the implementation of the operation. In addition to the fear that information will leak to the leader of ISIS, if it leaves Turkish territory, given that the areas in northern Syria are important incubators for the leaders of ISIS, Al-Qaeda and extremist groups.  other".

 The second leader of ISIS was killed near Turkish bases... Confirmation of suspicions

 The most important thing that sparked discussion about it, during the past few days, is the killing of the second leader of ISIS (Al-Qurashi) less than three years after the killing of "Al-Baghdadi" in October 2019 also in Idlib, and about 15 kilometers from the place where Al-Qurashi was killed.  In addition to a number of ISIS leaders in the areas near the Turkish border and under the eyes of the "Tahrir al-Sham" mercenaries.

 According to reports, the mercenaries of "Tahrir al-Sham" were not satisfied with covering up the leader of ISIS;  Rather, they tried to defend him, as 2 of them were killed during the American operation, on Thursday.

 Al-Quraishi hid in Atma, which is practically far from the areas of ISIS activity, as large areas in Idlib are under the control of the mercenaries of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" supported by Turkey.

 Idlib is located on the Turkish-Syrian border, and there are military bases for the Turkish occupation, which has turned these bases, according to observers, into a cover to protect ISIS leaders.

 On this, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, said: "The killing of Al-Quraishi and Al-Baghdadi in Idlib shows that ISIS enjoys support and protection outside the areas of control of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

 There, the group is given training camps and safe houses, and has been reclassified as "popular resistance" or "opposition factions."

 He added, "Therefore, Turkey is directly responsible for the growth and expansion of this incubator in northern Syria, as it turns a blind eye to any activity and prevents local and even international partners from working extensively in collecting data in this region, and carrying out extensive operations against terrorist elements, and of course still (Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham)  ) with its extremist ideology that fosters the most important as it is the first in control of this geography located in the north of Syria.

 The Secretary called on the international community to act, saying: "The international community must hold Turkey responsible and take measures against it in this matter, and prevent it from once again extending its influence in these areas, because extending its influence results in the growth of these incubators with the spread of extremist groups and thus the growth of  danger to the region and the world."

 On the impact of the killing of the ISIS leader, Amin said: "It is a medium effect, neither is it a great influence like the killing of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, nor is it weak, given that Qardash was a medium-influenced person and a hidden, unknown person. His military history was weak compared to other people, and thus his influence  It will not be strong, and the most important thing is that the organization has not yet announced the killing of its leader, and it will speed up announcing a new caliph, and this is expected, because the organization's media machine has not stopped at all since the killing of the leader of ISIS and continues to issue statements through the Amaq Agency and others for operations it carries out in  Iraq, Syria, and West and Central Africa.
