Aisha Hasso: Global Coalition should clarify its position on direct Turkish support for ISIS mercenaries

  The attack launched by ISIS mercenary cells on Al-Sina’a prison in Al-Hasakah coincided with the anniversary of the attacks on the occupied canton of Afrin on January 20, and after the announcement of ISIS’s defeat as a result of the resistance shown by the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces, the Turkish occupation army launched massive attacks on northern and eastern Syria, the Shingal regions, and the Makhmour (Rustam Judi) refugee camp in Başûr (Southern Kurdistan).

  Which raised questions on GCTI on the Turkish attacks that support ISIS mercenaries and support them in public.

 To discuss the course of this issue, our agency held a meeting with the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party, Aisha Hasso, who began her speech by praising all the martyrs of freedom, especially the martyrs who made great sacrifices against the attacks of the terrorist organization ISIS in the "Hammer of Peoples" campaign, and said that these sacrifices  history will write it on its honorable pages under the heading of heroes who rid the world of terrorism and extremism.

 And about the danger of the enemy of the emergence of ISIS, Aisha said, "The danger is not confined to northern and eastern Syria only; it would have included the whole world, to live under the threat of ISIS terrorism."

 The Turkish regime denies defeat by attacking the peoples

 Regarding the continued attacks of the Turkish occupation, Aisha said: "In conjunction with the announcement by the SDF and Internal Security Forces of victory over ISIS in al-Hasakah, the Turkish state resumed committing crimes in Makhmour, Şengal, and NES."

 She continued, "When the tyrannical Turkish regime denies the defeat of its plans, it attacks the peoples of northern and eastern Syria and the Kurdish people in particular, why?! Because it finds the survival of its tyrannical and chauvinistic rule in the genociding the Kurds."

 The history of the attack bears the stamp of Turkish barbarism

  As for the date of the start of the attack on al-Hasakah prison, coinciding with the anniversary of the start of the attacks on Afrin canton, Aisha ruled out that it was a coincidence and said: Turkey wants to renew the painful events in the history of the Kurdish people within the psychological war to strike the stability of our regions."

 Aisha added that the year 2022 carries many problems for the Turkish state;  Because it began the attack on the administration in conjunction with the date of the start of the attack on Afrin canton, thinking that it would weaken the will of the people, but the plan backfired and the defeat of the freedom movement of Kurdistan in the legitimate defense areas, in addition to the Autonomous Administration project reaping support on the international and other arena  among the gains, the calculations of the Turkish occupation have made confusion, and the indiscriminate bombing of civilians is the best proof of that.

 Aisha pointed out, "The position of Erdogan's government is unenviable, as the negative effects of its wrong policies have now appeared, foremost of which are the economic problems that caused Erdogan's decline in popularity. Even the vague Turkish policies and being dragged behind NATO or Russia made them in an unstable situation."  It wants to give up everything to those who support it against the Kurds, and this shows the extent of its powerlessness."

 We have evidence confirming that Turkey is behind the activities of ISIS

 As for the position of the GC regarding these events, Aisha said: "The coalition in the public arena translates its position as being in Syria for the war against ISIS, but after the events of the prison, it is expected that this prevailing concept on the scene will change. The door must be opened to a serious discussion.  We are ready to highlight the evidence that Turkey was behind the attacks and activities of ISIS mercenaries, so can the coalition then clarify its position on Turkey? This is what we do not know."

 She continued, "The attacks on the prison made many of the countries participating in the coalition make statements confirming that they are concerned about the danger facing the world, and we say that everyone should participate in a general and comprehensive solution, and for this should be the issue of the occupied areas by Turkey, which have become  a focus of terrorism is on the agenda of future discussions, as everyone knows that the mercenaries came from the areas of Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad.

 It is shameful to call mercenaries "people."

 During her speech, Aisha indicated that "those who call ISIS "people" are all participants in the scheme aimed at spreading chaos, by releasing the most dangerous detainees in the world, led by the Turkish regime and the Damascus government, but our forces thwarted the scheme and won."

 On the level of attitudes in Kurdistan, Aisha Hasso expressed her astonishment at “the KDP did not show any reaction to the events that struck our regions, although everyone knows that without the heroic resistance of the fighters of the People’s Protection Units and Women, Bashour (South Kurdistan) would not have enjoyed security and safety.”  .

 She noted that it is shameful for ISIS mercenaries to be called "the people" in view of the great sacrifices made by the Kurdish people along with all peoples yearning for freedom and demanding deliverance from Takfiri terrorism, "history will not be merciful to such heinous acts."

 As for the Damascus government’s media distortion of the truth, Aisha said, “How can the terrorist operations of ISIS be called ‘Gweran Epic’? Can we ask how the beheaders can become owners of epics? Those who want to wear black for the world have become owners of epics.  We must ask the government's media, are you the ones who protect them with these statements?"

 Aisha indicated that the goal of these parties is to distort the image of the Syrian Democratic Forces, saying: "All these allegations and media bubbles were resolved by achieving a crushing victory over ISIS in Al-Hasakah, thanks to the solidarity of the people of northeastern Syria with the military forces."

 At the end of her speech, the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party, Aisha Hasso, confirmed that all components joined forces in times of hardship and supported the forces they represent and were up to the responsibility in achieving victory, and that the liberation of the occupied territories is their top priority.
