SDF arrest 27 ISIS elements in the eastern countryside of Raqqa

According to the Syrian Democratic Forces' official website, its forces and Internal Security Forces carried out a security campaign in the eastern countryside of Raqqa targeting the cells of ISIS terrorist mercenaries in several villages and haphazard camps.

During the campaign, troops raided points that ISIS terrorist cells were using in the camp to hide and prepare for terrorist operations.

As a result of the operation, 27 mercenaries and suspects were arrested by the forces participating in the campaign, who were handed over to the competent authorities. "

In previous statement on 25 January, SDF stated that reports touched upon the evacuation of Syrian regime many sites under its control in Rasafa city 40 km south of Raqqa and leaving them to dangerous ISIS elements in conjunction with the attack on al-Hasakah Sina’a Prison, the reasons for the evacuation are questionable, our troops have taken precautionary measures to prevent ISIS taking advantage of those evacuation and enduring threat by ISIS on the vicinity of Raqqa.
