YPJ GC: Kobani's victory is a starting point for women in fight against terrorism

 Today, Wednesday, January 26, marks the seventh anniversary of the liberation of the city of Kobani from ISIS mercenaries, and on this occasion, the General Command of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) issued a statement.

 "On the twenty-sixth of January 2014, the liberation of Kobani from the terrorist darkness represented by ISIS, was announced, supported by the Turkish state, which allowed the crossing of thousands of mercenaries from more than one hundred countries around the world and Kobani, with which the peoples of more than 90 countries have stood in solidarity, has become an epic in defeating terrorism that threatened the entire world, and under the leadership of Kurdish women who became a model of sacrifice and redemption.

 The statement confirmed that the Kobani resistance was a turning point in the diplomatic course of the region, and a breakthrough for women in the forefront of the fight against terrorism.  And many others, who were martyred in heroic epics, with their sacrificial operations.

 The history of the liberation of Kobani is a thorn in Turkey's throat

 It considered that this victory, and this particular date of each year, is a thorn in the throat of the Turkish state, pushing it to attack by various means to avenge ISIS mercenaries, “This time, Turkey’s contribution was by using ISIS mercenaries inside prisons and supporting cells  ISIS, which was receiving training and logistical support from within its areas of control, that is, which it occupied for the purpose of making it camps for its mercenaries in Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî,” referring to the attack of ISIS mercenaries cells on the prison in the Ghweran neighborhood of Hasaka on the 20th of this January.

 It noted that the attacks on Kobani had many facets and different dimensions, which cannot be limited to the emergence of extremist and unorganized Islamic factions;  Rather, it was highly organized and systematic, and under the support of the Turkish state.

 It also indicated that the objective of the attack on Kobani was to occupy it;  Because it has strategic borders, in addition to being on the Turkish border, it is close to Raqqa, Ain Issa and Aleppo, and this is what Turkey aims for, as well as the extremist Islamic State organization, and all this happened before the eyes and ears of the world;  How Turkey opened its borders to the elements of the organization at the time, and how it received their wounded, and how it supplied them with weapons, as Turkey became a safe haven for their wounded and the bodies of their dead.

 The General Command said that all this funding and support that Erdogan granted to ISIS mercenaries by equipping dozens of ambulances on its borders to transport ISIS elements and treat them in its hospitals, revealed the plan of the Turkish state led by Erdogan, who immortalized himself in history as the leader of ISIS factions, and history recorded that stigma  And it became apparent in the past few days.

 Noting that the recent attack of ISIS mercenaries cells repeated the same history, how the Turkish state fights the region through ISIS mercenaries who have become a card in Turkey's hand, moving it to strike stability in the region, and spread terror among the components and intimidate them, in the example of the events of Gweran prison, which ISIS mercenaries attacked coming  From Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain, and Girê Spî / Tal Abyad by Turkey.

 The General Command of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), called on the international community, civil society organizations, all parties and concerned parties, foremost of which is the International Coalition, to put an end to the terrorist practices supported by Turkey, represented by ISIS, and called on all countries to restore their citizens who are in the ranks of ISIS mercenaries, and to urgently find  Trial mechanisms, given the emergency situation it is witnessing today, which is the return of ISIS to organize itself under pure Turkish sponsorship.
