​​​​​​​On the anniversary of the liberation of Kobani... Turkish occupation avenged ISIS with messages of fire

On 27^th January, 2015 Women’s and People’s protection Units (YPJ, YPG) declared the liberation of Kobani canton in full from ISIS/ Daesh backed by Turkey to be turning point in the war track in Syria and Iraq against terrorism, in particular, after losing extensive areas by two states in favor of ISIS/ Daesh.  

70% of Kobani city 7 km2 had been destroyed 30% of it was completely destroyed north and downtown, while 40% was partially destroyed; Battles that lasted months.

Kobani is turning point for defeating ISIS

The Syrian and Iraqi people, as well as the European States have greatly affected by ISIS brutal attacks, particularly the cities had been occupied by ISIS between 2014 and 2019 years.

ISIS has occupied vast areas between Syria and Iraq, estimated at more than 200 km/2, nearly as large as Britain, and has abolished their borders.

ISIS / Daesh exploited the chaos and security vacuum in the country. So, ISIS gangs from various world’s states sought to dominate of the largest cities in Syria and Iraq, Mosul, Raqqa, Deir-ez-Zor, Tikrit and Fallujah.”

Turkey has allowed thousands of mercenaries to cross its territory into Syria, coming from 110 countries around the world between 2014 and 2016.

Kobani Battle, in which more than 6,000 mercenaries died over 5 months inside the city bordering Northern Kurdistan, marked a turning point in breaking the fork of ISIS/ Daesh, despite Turkish support for control of the city.

Turkish attacks against Kobani have not calmed since ISIS was defeated 

Syrian cities, towns and villages were liberated day after day, and ISIS began to collapse after the loss of cities such as Manbij, Tabqa and Raqqa until they were besieged in a geographic area of just 100m2 in al-Bagouz city. 3,000 mercenaries surrendered to the Syrian Democratic Forces, SDF, and thousands of their families after fierce battles by both sides for months.

More than 93 states supported Kobani canton in its battles against ISIS, in which Turkey still continues its attacks on Kobani canton, Turkey considers its residents as terrorists, while the liberation of the city of Kobani in January 2015 marked the first defeat of ISIS direct Turkish support.

In a bid to support ISIS mercenaries in its attacks on Syrian borders areas, Turkey shelled those areas to grant ISIS moral boost in the last pocket, dozens of secret agencies, stations and documents have documented Turkish intelligence “MIT” and ISIS's strong relationship in a plan to control areas in Syria and Iraq, most of which failed, except for the comic between ISIS and the Turkish army in Jarblous and al-Bab. ISIS surrendered north of Aleppo to Turkey.   

Turkish UAVs targeted nine time the populated areas in Kobani canton over a two-year period, most recently on 25 December last year, resulting in the martyrdom of 11 civilians.

This comes as Turkish officials, first and foremost Erdogan, threaten to launch aggression against Kobani canton, benefiting from the silence of the international community, "guarantor" countries and human rights organizations that appeared to be the opposite of what they were during the ISIS attack on Kobani.

The Turkish bombardment of the eastern and western countryside and the neighbourhoods of Kobani did not stop for seven years, most recently on 8 January. The occupation targeted the city centre and six villages in the rural east with heavy weapons, resulting in the martyrdom of a civilian and the injury of 12 others, including women and children.

In a meeting conducted by ANHA’s agency, the deputy co - chairmanship of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Hesen Koçer, states that "We have seen air targeting and attacks against Kobani canton over the recent period, only clear Turkish messages against the symbol of resistance, the city of Kobani, that we will avenge ISIS and defeat it in the city."

Hesen Koçer adds about the Turkish occupying state's claims: "If Turkey claims to protect its national security, it also has national security, it is a democratic and free people, why their existence is so ignored, it is immoral and illogical."

Hesen Koçer points out that "the mutual interests of the nations of the world and Turkey impose a malign reality, so continued silence will eventually lead to the spread of Turkish-backed terrorist groups in the world."

Hesen Koçer says: "The Global Coalition formed to fight ISIS claims to be fighting terrorism in Syria, and the Turkish state that is a member of NATO is the biggest supporter of ISIS, which is the cause of chaos in the region.”

"If we talk about al-Hol Camp, the most dangerous areas in the world, and the criminal operations that it is witnessing, the major role is the Turkish occupation attacks on NE Syria and their support for ISIS cells in the region," he added.

Turning the areas around Kobani into a hotbed for ISIS and Jabhet al- Nusra
The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazlom Abdi, during a televised meeting following the Turkish aggression against Ras al-Ain amd Tal Abyed, confirmed that their forces had documented the names of 47 ISIS mercenaries who had come to Turkey after their defeat, and fought alongside Turkish occupation soldiers in occupying Syrian territory.

The Turkish state knew where ISIS leader Abu Bakr al - Baghdadi, who was killed in a joint US - Syrian Democratic Forces operation, was hiding only a few kilometers from the Turkish border in Idlib province.

Global Coalition UAV killed last October; The ISIS leader, Sabahi al-Ibrahim nicknamed "Abu Hamza al - Shaheel" with two of his escorts; In the village of al-Adwaniyah in the occupied countryside of Serêkaniyê / Ras Al-Ain, in addition to the killing of Abdul Hamid Matar, the leader of the Al-Qaeda “Guardians of Religion” mercenaries, in the village of Arbid in the Girê Spî / Tal Abyad area in northern Syria, within the areas occupied by Turkey.

In this context, Hesen Koçer asserts that the occupied areas have become a hotbed for ISIS leaders, and that those who run the areas of Afrin, Serêkaniyê / Ras Al-Ain and Tal Abyed have become clear to all under the cover of the Turkish state, asking why "the Global Coalition is pursuing the ISIS sleeper cells if there are areas crowded with ISIS mercenaries run by Turkey."

Hesen Koçer called upon the Global Coalition to show its position. Does it support the democratic project in the region or the Muslim Brotherhood? "The targeting of the democratic project in NE Syria is a clear answer in support of the Muslim Brotherhood project," he said, stressing that "the international community must know that any extension of the Turkish state at the expense of NE Syria means that the global threat is expanding, so it must support the democratic project to establish security and stability in the region."

With regard to the Russian position, Hesen Koçer pointed out that there was no Russian protection in the area, since it had entered the area de facto as a guarantor State, noting that Turkish occupation UAVs were bombing civilians in sight of its forces, saying, "Our people will not accept this position. The Russian presence in NE Syria will be met with harsh public responses if this continues. "

In conclusion, he said: "In addition to the military attacks by the occupying state, there have been significant attempts over the past years by all parties to turn the Resistance's Kobani into a source of agents and traitors and to corrupt society, but they will inevitably fail. It is the land that witnessed The July 19th Revolution and the defeat of ISIS, stating, "We shall live with honour and will not accept the life of humiliation."
