Hanna: ISIS receives military support from the occupied areas

 Last Thursday evening, ISIS terrorist cells attacked Al-Sina’a Prison in the Ghweran neighborhood in the northern and eastern Syria with explosives, after which the cells began attempts to storm the prison to release more than 5,000 ISIS detainees, but the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces directly intervened to control the situation.

 As the clashes continue in the Ghweran neighborhood, the Turkish occupation state continues its attacks on the area, as its drones targeted military vehicles heading to Al-Hasakah to support the forces in the Ghweran neighborhood, to comb the area and control the situation.

 In an exclusive statement to our agency, SDF spokesperson, Aram Hanna, said: "Al-Sina'a Prison in the Ghweran neighborhood was attacked by ISIS terrorist cells, using car bombs, to coincide with the insurgency inside the prison and riots, so our forces rushed to intervene to ensure security  around the prison and not allowing the detainees to escape.

 We want to catch the attackers alive

 Hanna continued, "As a result of our forces' dealing with the attacking targets, the attackers fled to the Al-Zohour neighborhood adjacent to the prison to take civilians as human shields, which delayed our forces, because we have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of civilians, and we are determined to arrest the terrorists alive."

 Hanna explained, "The military actions are based on the northern and western axis of the prison, and the inner perimeter of the prison is secured by our special forces, and we have the ability to control the situation quickly, but to ensure the protection of the civilians, and our desire to arrest the attackers alive was the reason for the delay in our control of the situation." 

 Hanna stressed, "Our forces will continue to control the situation. Our forces have sufficient competence to control such attacks."

 Regional and international support for ISIS in its latest attack

 The spokesman continued, "We rule out that there are contacts between the detained ISIS mercenaries and its sleeper cells abroad, but we confirm that in conjunction with hearing the sound of the explosion, riots began inside the prison dormitories, and our forces began their investigations, and our forces had revealed in the past months and days.  ISIS plans to attack this prison, and with its implementation of this attack, we confirm the presence of regional support for it to strike stability in the region.

 He stressed, "These attacks coincided with the Turkish occupation state continuing its attacks on the region by targeting on Friday one of the cars of the Tel Tamer Military Council while it was heading to Hasaka to support the forces in the Gweran neighborhood, and the ground attack that took place in Ain Issa, all of which proves the support and support of the Turkish occupation state for terrorism.  The international community must take serious steps to stop such steps."
