Internal Security statement on Ghiweiran Prison latest

General Command of the Internal Security Forces of NES said the Ghiweiran Quarter is cordoned off proper as one member was declared martyred and seven others injured and three civilians killed by ISIS mercenaries.

In a statement General Command of the Internal Security Forces of North and east Syria revealed:

'' last night a sleeper cell of ISIS tried to storm the Sinaa' Prison in the Ghiweiran Quarter in the city of Hasaka by a booby trapped car close to the prison and a sneak attempt by the sleeper cells through quarters close to the prison and attacking the security guards in charge of the prison in a bid to facilitate break away of prisoners who organized a disobedience in line with a car explosion.

Our forces supported by SDF repulsed the attack and captured a number of terrorists and pursuing others in close quarters.

Seven of our members were injured and Khaled Ilewi was martyred in addition to three civilians killed by ISIS.

The Ghiweiran Quarter is cordoned off proper and combing and searching operations are continuing until all terrorists are captured.

We pledge our people to proceed on the course of martyrs to preserve peace and security in the region''.
