What happens in Hasaka since yesterday ?

On Thursday, an attack was carried out in the Giweiran Prison in the city of Hasaka that houses around 500 ISIS mercenaries in a bid to reach the main entrance of the prison to facilitate the ran away of ISIS mercenaries in the prison. 

The attack was commenced by a car and a motor bike explosion close to the main entrance followed by violent clashes between the security guards of the prison and the ISIS mercenaries who sneaked via Hewsh Ba'ir in southern city.

The first clashes were followed by exploding three oil tanker trucks in the Satcop close to the prison to prevent aircraft from hovering. 

Then reinforcements reached to the SDF and Internal Security Forces in line with disobedience organized inside the prison according to the Media Office of the SDF.

Mass combing operations were carried out by the internal Security Forces in which YAT and Commandos took part that still go on as ISIS mercenaries hid in civilian houses.

Syrian Democratic Forces called on people in the Hesh Ba'ir not to hid or give refuge to ISIS mercenaries that attacked the prison and to cooperate with the internal security forces and SDF and to inform against any suspects.

In latest information people were threatened by ISIS mercenaries to give them shelter. 

Helicopters and war planes of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS took part in controlling the situation as it hovered intensively on the area.

At :02:00after midnight clashes were renewed after the attacking cells were besieged in the periphery of the prison and in Hesh Ba'ir quarter using medium and heavy weapons.

The operation up to date have resulted in the deaths of 5 ISIS mercenaries that attacked the prison.
