​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Hajj Farhan calls upon NATO to investigate of using chemical weapons by Turkey

The Turkish occupying state has been carrying out its violent attacks on legitimate defence areas in Southern Kurdistan for months, using internationally banned chemical weapons against fighters of the People's Defence Forces (Guerrilla), amidst shameful silence of the international community and its organizations.

 The member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Leftist Party of Syria, Ismail Hajj Farhan, pointed out that the Turkish occupying state is doing everything in its power to put an end to the Kurdish people wherever they are. What is happening in the legitimate defence areas, as well as in the north and east of Syria, is clearly anti – Kurdistainin.

 "Everyone sees the daily attacks on the Kurdish people in Kurdistan and, in the front the eyes of all States, the entry of Turkish forces into Başûr (Southern Kurdistan), as well as into Rojava (Western Kurdistan), the objective is occupation. It is an occupying state and its view of the four parts of Kurdistan is the same."

He noted "Today, the Turkish state is intervening in Başûr (Southern Kurdistan) under the pretext that it is fighting the, Kurdistan Worker’s Party, PKK, but we know very well and everyone knows that it is an excuse to fight the entire Kurdish people, to fight all Kurdish forces and to destroy their revolution, and requires the entire Kurdish people and the Kurdistan Regional Government, KRG, to join forces against the Turkish state and its attacks."

HPG Command has repeatedly declared that the Turkish state used the prohibited chemical weapons against Guerrilla fighters, in which of its fighters had been disclosed by HPG those who were martyred by chemical weapons, but the international forces still remain silent, despite the assertion by HPG that the Turkish state used chemical weapons at least 367 times, since the start of the attack in late April last year.

"Throughout history, the enemies of the Kurdish people have fought the Kurds with various types of weapons, including chemical weapons, and today the PKK confirms that the Turkish state is attacking its fighters with chemical weapons," said Hajj Farhan.

 He stressed that the use of these prohibited weapons by the Turkish state should be investigated, in particular by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), of which Turkey is one of the participating states. "The silence of these parties and the international community on the use of these weapons by the Turkish occupying state gives the latter the opportunity to continue to use them against peoples."

In his speech, the politician confirmed the support of the Kurdistan Leftist Party in Syria for the PKK and HPG fighters and their resistance in Southern Kurdistan, considering the PKK Revolution and its fighters a holy revolution working for the Kurdish people and other peoples, and their support for all forces working for the Kurdish people.

Member of the Central Committee of the Kurdish Leftist Party of Syria, Ismail Hajj Farhan, stressed that all parts of Kurdistan, particularly the Kurdish people, must stand up to the enemies of Kurds, first and foremost the Turkish occupying state, free from the enemies, to preserve the gains made by Kurds, and to protect the Kurdish people and their land, calling on Kurdish parties to join forces to determine the fate of the Kurdish people.
