​​​​​​​Al-Asi: Turkish multi-purpose attacks, foremost of which is failure of AANES

 The Turkish occupation state has recently escalated its indiscriminate bombing of the city of Kobani, killing many women and children amid international silence about that.

The co-chair of the Defense Committee in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Zidan Al-Asi, condemned the Turkish occupation attacks on Kobani and stressed that the silence of the international community on these attacks contributes to their escalation and increases their danger to the region.

 Zaidan Al-Assi said in a statement to our agency, "The Turkish aggression has continued against Syria in general since the beginning of the Syrian crisis and in northeastern Syria in particular, and the Turkish occupation state has worked since the beginning of the crisis to attract armed groups to achieve their interests and ambitions."

 Zaidan Al-Assi added, "Since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, the Turkish occupation state began to intervene militarily in Syria to occupy many Syrian lands and committed many massacres against the people of the occupied areas."

 The objectives and timing of the attacks

 Zaidan Al-Assi explained that since the establishment of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the Turkish occupation state increased the attacks and occupied Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Tel Abyad, with the aim of striking the Autonomous Administration project, which included all components, "because it is the unique project in the Middle East."

 Zaidan Al-Assi indicated that "the attacks of the Turkish occupation on the Kobani region at this time have many goals, including that the Autonomous Administration is on the verge of elections in which all components of north and east Syria will participate, which did not appeal to the Turkish occupation state and others."

 And Zaidan Al-Assi stated, "The Turkish intervention in this period has other indications, which are almost international approval, especially by Russia and the regime, and we all know that the regime has a hand in these attacks, with secret agreements to thwart the Autonomous Administration."

 Al-Assi added, "Recently, secret meetings and agreements were held in Russia and Jordan between the Syrian regime and the Turkish state, during which an agreement was made under Russian auspices, and in all the meetings that took place in Astana, there is a conspiracy between the regime and Turkey indirectly through Russia to prevent the administration from completing its establishment."  .

 Al-Assi stressed that "Turkey wants to achieve several goals in its attack on the regions of northern and eastern Syria to distract the Turkish people and direct their attention to the foreign war to distract them from the crisis that Turkey is witnessing at the present time."

 Zaidan Al-Assi said, "We, the peoples of northern and eastern Syria, have to rely on ourselves, whatever the pressures from the enemies and whatever the strength of the enemy. If the people are cohesive, the Turkish occupation state will not achieve any of its goals."

 Zaidan Al-Assi called on "the international community in general to have a position and opinion regarding these attacks, and the international community should stop these attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation state in the regions of north, east and Syria."
