​​​​​​​PYD: Bombing of Kobane opens doors to dangerous possibilities

The General Council of the PYD issued a written statement regarding the attack carried out by the Turkish occupation against Kobani and its countryside, targeting civilians.

The text of the statement stated:

"In a new test for the international community and the United Nations, the Turkish regime violated international principles and laws and targeted civilians in the center of the city this morning, Saturday, with (drones) and heavy weapons, and its indiscriminate bombing resulted in martyrs and wounded civilians and extensive damage to their property.

It is another massacre added to the series of war crimes committed against civilians in the city of Kobani and its safe villages by targeting civilian homes, indiscriminate bombing and all kinds of weapons, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of citizens, including children and women.

And their barbaric bombardment did not spare the homes of citizens and places of worship, as the war of extermination by the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries against the people of NES aims to create chaos in front of the eyes and ears of the international community and major powers without taking any deterrent position from them to hold the coalition of the Justice and Development Party and the Fascist Nationalist Movement Party and its terrorist government accountable.

We in the General Council of PYD condemn in the strongest terms these hostile violations by the Turkish regime, which threaten security NES and the region and complicate the situation, and even open the door to dangerous possibilities.

We also call on the international community and the guarantor powers, Russia and America, to break their silence and stand in front of the Turkish occupation and its terrorist organizations, which pose the greatest danger to the whole world, and threaten to revive ISIS and its sisters in the region. I unanimously agree that all these practices and massacres will only increase our determination to escalate our struggle and resistance to occupation and terrorism until the liberation of all occupied lands and the establishment of peace and stability in Syria.
