Writer, university professor compares life of rulers of Başûr to pharaohs, confirms that it is corrupt class

During 2021, the ruling authorities of Southern Kurdistan reaped more than $4.5 billion from oil resources, according to some research centers, while its people live in a poor conditions.  The region has turned into a sponsor of networks of corruption and looting, as a result of the unipolar policy pursued by the key dominating force, the Kurdistan Democratic Party,

People of Southern Kurdistan, that struggled for decades for their freedom, are dying on the migration routes for better living conditions, the crowds gathered on the Belarusian-Polish border are the best proof of this.  As a result of the dire economic situation, the absence of educational opportunities, and the security pursuits of opponents and critics by the networks of the ruling authorities.

According to unofficial statistics, more than 4,000 citizens stranded on the border between Belarus and Poland, and 27 people have drowned in the English Channel in an attempt to reach Britain, and in a statement to the BBC, "The overwhelming majority of current immigrants are between 18-25 years old.

The population of southern Kurdistan, according to the Statistics Authority, is 6 million 171 thousand and 83 people, and some reports confirm that the unemployment rate exceeds 30%.

 Despite the richness of southern Kurdistan in natural resources and wealth, the rate of unemployment and poverty is constantly increasing, and in 2021 it reached more than 30%, and now most of those who graduated from universities and institutes are unemployed. They organized several demonstrations that were confronted with an iron fist.

According to some statistics, the annual revenues of Southern Kurdistan amount to about 13 trillion and 80 billion dinars, 55 percent of which is from oil, 25 percent from customs, and the rest is from fees and taxes.  South sells 455,000 barrels of oil per day, with a monthly value of 570 billion dinars, which is equivalent to 6 trillion and 840 billion dinars annually.  And the treasury of Southern Kurdistan annually enters the equivalent of 3 trillion and 600 billion dinars annually from customs, 1 trillion and 80 billion dinars annually from taxes, and one trillion and 200 billion dinars annually from drawings, and the coalition forces pay the equivalent of 360 billion dinars annually.

 According to Roj News, the government of Southern Kurdistan spends the equivalent of 10 trillion and 740 billion dinars annually on employee salaries.  The equivalent of 1 trillion and 200 billion dinars annually on the work of the ministries.  The total annual expenditures of the Government of Southern Kurdistan amount to 11 trillion and 940 billion dinars.

The political class in Başûr lives a comfortable life similar to the life of the pharaohs

 Writer and university professor Adalat Abdullah, in a statement to our agency, explained: "It does not matter if these numbers are correct or not, what matters is that there are living problems that the citizen of the Kurdistan region suffers from in all his social classes, except for the political class that lives a well-off life similar to a life  The Pharaohs, as the average citizen observes.

 Adalat Abdullah noted: "I once said that many officials in government and party circles are not only corrupt, but also ignorant, because they do not know that we live in a different era in which corruption cannot be covered up, I mean the era of communication technology, media and information that is not hidden.  Anything in it, and exposing the manifestations of corruption depends only on time and the coming of the moments of the eruption of raging conflicts between the corrupt poles, then you will simply find that the corrupt themselves expose everything to us and expose each other to the Kurdistan public opinion.

 On November 17, 2019, the New Generation Movement called for an investigation into corruption and the sale of oil in southern Kurdistan, and stressed that all oil money goes outside the framework of the state budget and government banks.

 On December 7, 2021, journalist Zack Coplin, who works at the American Research and Thought Foundation, published his research on the Barzani family's capital in America in the Amarecin Prospect newspaper and on the website www.prospect.org.  According to the research, the Barzani family owns a 12,000-square-meter property worth $18.3 million in the US state of Miami.  dollar.

 In late December, he published a document bearing the name of the Kurdistan International Company, in which the company indicated that Idris Barzani, the son of the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, had sold his shares in KII Bank for a value of $34 million.

 Adalat Abdullah confirms that the revenues of the Kurdistan region are not in the hands of security, and said: "Yes, the revenues of the Kurdistan region are not transparent and are not in safe hands. Otherwise, we would not have suffered all this economic suffering and deteriorating living conditions."

Corruption is crystal clear, and the manifestations of poverty and unemployment increase, and the emergence of a rich and obscenely rich class within the circles of  A well-known political and partisan background, they are all real indications that the funds of this region are not safe, but are at the disposal of a political class that is unable to establish its integrity and is questionable by all the people of the region.  It is getting worse year after year, and the evidence is the boycott of more than 55% of the people who have the right to vote, the recent elections and the decline in the popularity of the ruling parties by shocking large percentages.
