Jeffrey tries to legitimize Turkish state crimes

The US former Special Envoy to Syria, James Jeffrey, stated that some mercenary groups had committed war crimes during occupation of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, as if the occupation is a normal thing, where Turkey and occupation supporters are not guilty. But the Turkish occupation and all parties which agreed to the occupation and remained silent are guilty.
It's an obvious fact, and Jeffrey's statements must be analyzed, so if such statements are analyzed from one side the truth would be concealed ; Because Jeffrey's, also an attempt to obscure the truth.
The truth is that Turkey is an occupying power in the region, where all its pretexts are nothing but lies. And the saying that "some mercenary groups have committed war crimes" is only to legitimize and justify the Turkish occupation and its mercenary groups.
If not, why would they differentiate between them ?
Jeffrey is at the helm where still continues to make such statements. A person who was at the helm during the occupation will not be able to absolve himself of responsibility.
For years, the Turkish state legitimizes its hostility to the Kurds, so it creates pretexts to attack Rojava, and deals as if it targeted from Rojava, however such an attack has not occurred even once, and James Jeffrey is aware of that . If he claimed that there was no such attack, Jeffrey would not have seen the need to make such a statement, and published this on KDP-affiliated media.
It is known that James Jeffrey when he was at the helm, he was like a politician of the AKP, what's more all the attacks on Kurds' achievements of happened during his reign, where he himself was the US major official in the region.
The other issue is that they are seeking to legitimize it in front of the Kurds as well, as if they arrested criminals and punished them, but the Kurdish people see everything even better than many responsible politicians, and know very well to whom the genocidal attacks serve.
As saying "those who committed war crimes were punished" also an attempt to present themselves as democrats and anti- war crimes.
However these mercenaries were collected by the United States of America and the Turkish state and used today by the Turkish state in Syria and other regions of the world with approval of international powers. Not only in Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, but their presence per se is considered a crime.
They use these mercenaries in Rojava, Libya, Azerbaijan, Başûr and Bakur Kurdistan with innumerable crimes , this fact has been published in the Kurdish and international media many times, but they still say, "Some groups or some people have committed war crimes," and this in itself is considered nonsense..
So, neither Turkey and affiliated mercenaries, nor the international parties that open the way for them, will be able to legitimize themselves and justify their position through these statements.
Their crimes not only in Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, but also in Afrin, Jarablus, Azaz, Mare’, al-Bab and Idlib.
Why is this important?
Because the mercenary groups and the Turkish state daily commit atrocities in the region, if they want to correct something; They should seek to end the occupation.
They also want with these statements to draw attention to the events that occurred in the past and to obliterate the current events, as if they want through the saying “the perpetrators of war crimes have been held accountable” to show that the problem has been resolved. But the people who occupy the area and commit crimes there are still there and they still commit these crimes on a daily basis.
In short, James Jeffrey's statement is more than a confession, it's an attempt to obscure the truth, legitimize and justify the guilty and legitimize the occupation. But no one believes this or be deceived.
